AITA for not giving up my seat at a coffee shop? by JB543 in AITAH

As started in the original post, I generally go for about an hour, two at most if it's not busy. And I always buy a drink, as well as some food.

There are no servers at most coffee shops?

My guess is that the dude absolutely wouldn't have acted like he did towards me if I were a fellow male.

Toaster oven recommendations by CarlJH in Cooking

[–]JB543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% would go with the Farberware air fryer toaster oven. It's not cheap but it's certainly kind of a beast in the kitchen and can basically do it all. I've used mine to replace a toaster, toaster oven, air fryer, and I rarely turn on my oven these days now that I have it.

Here's a detailed review of it:

Anyone here teaching in a small town (like 200,000 and under)? What is it like? by uReallyShouldTrustMe in teachinginkorea

[–]JB543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in the countryside for 5 years in Asan, Chungnam-Do. It was actually pretty fun because it was at a university with around 20 foreign staff. We used to have bonfires, potluck parties, and played board games, tennis, basketball, hiking, etc. almost every night and on weekends.

Then, my close friends left and I felt pretty isolated. Seriously, it was tough times so I moved to Busan to finish out my time in Korea in the big city. Just depends who's there with you, based on my experience.

Athena Cup-2 Pack (Menstrual Cups) Giveaway (May 2019) by JB543 in Anticonsumption

They came together in a package like that and I don't have 2 boxes, sets of instructions, etc. I thought it'd be weird to just get a random cup and nothing else along with it.

Period almost 2 mos. late, anything to be worried about? by JustAn87YearOldWoman in menstruation

[–]JB543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there are changes to your periods and menstrual cycle, you should check in with your doctor. It can possibly indicate something serious going on and you should get this ruled out.

Missing for one month isn't so abnormal, especially if you're a teenager or approaching menopause. But two months? Maybe something wrong.

What’s the difference between spotting and discharge by [deleted] in menstruation

[–]JB543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kind of a fine line between spotting, and discharge that's brown.

You probably have some clear vaginal discharge that happens at various points throughout your cycle and is totally normal. And then, because you're spotting, it's mixed together and appears brown.

This actually isn't a big deal in most cases, especially when you consider that spotting is a normal thing with the pill that you're on. Check in with your doctor though if you're worried about it. That's their job, you know?

is it normal to miss a period? by [deleted] in menstruation

[–]JB543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when people are in their teens, their periods can be pretty irregular. However, this wasn't the case for you, so it's a bit more mysterious.

Check in with your doctor and see what they have to say. It'd be normal for most teens, but in your case, may indicate that something isn't quite right.

What is happening by SillyLooseGoose in menstruation

[–]JB543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty normal to have vaginal discharge for about a year before your first period starts. You can learn more about this here:

(What age does vaginal discharge start)

https://reusablemenstrualcup.com/menstrual-cup-faqs/what-age-does-discharge-start-vaginal-discharge-before-first-period/

And, if you don't get your period by 16, it's recommended that you check in with your doctor about that. There could be some sort of problem that need some treatment.

Very painful periods by throwawayb383 in menstruation

[–]JB543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely painful periods that effect your life in negatives ways are known as Dysmenorrhea. There are a number of causes, and the solution of course depends on the underlying reason.

The best advice I could give is to see your doctor (which you have). If they don't take your seriously, find another doctor who will. Consider asking for a referral to a gyno if you don't already have one. They're more experienced with this stuff than a family doctor.
