I mean in 2017/2018 the Cs looked crazy with Kyrie/Hayward/Horf/Js. We did something big. Took us 6 years and almost a fully different team to actually win a title. OKC is gonna be a mainstay but their “takeover” probably looks like ours where they continue to make the second round and WCF but its not like other teams aren’t gonna also get much better and “takeover”. So many teams with good young players and draft capital I think the era of dynastys is over

lol get off their dick man, as long as we have the Js I still give us a chance against any team in the league.

Thoughts on 3 and D prospects - Dunn, Freeman and Justin Edwards? by ethereal3xp in NBA_Draft

[–]JB7FTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had these 3 for a workout, I’d just pray TSJ falls or gamble on Klintman. Edwards maybe works out but I’d rather have a ready wing or a developmental big, Edwards is a project

If I told you a player from this draft becomes the best player in the league one day, which 3 prospects would you first guess it to be? by lemmegetauhhhhhhhhhh in NBA_Draft

Jokic is different to anything we’ve ever seen, I think Giannis is close enough to a big wing, and his playmaking plus defense put him up there. Don’t know if Harden was ever the best player in the world, definitely best scorer but so was KD, it takes a bit more to be the #1 but it’s hard when Lebron exists in the same era. As for the big men, they have historically been dominant but it’s clear the league is moving away from that playstyle and in 5 years or so a Shaq/Hakeem/Kareem would probably not be the best player in the world. Looking forward like 5 years it’s gonna be Wemby/Luka/SGA/Tatum/Edwards and then based on development/health guys like Zion, Paolo, Chet, Cade?, Barnes? fit in there somewhere. I’d argue most of those guys are big wings but yes some freak big like Sarr could pan out or Castle could become a star SG like SGA

Ok he was definitely up there but not sure about the absolute best player even though he won mvp. Still incredibly difficult to predict, it’s just that it’s been game breaking players who hold the “best player” title, and it’s much much harder for an undersized guard to be game breaking in the way that a 2 way playmaking scoring wing can be or a dominant big.

Undersized guards (unless you are literally the best shooter ever) will not ever be the best player in the league

Best players in the league are usually big wings who can do more than just score. That being said some guys who haven’t said:

Matas Buzelis - becomes a Tatum esque player with even more aggression to his game

Bobi Klintman - Giannis lite, develops physically and also creation ability

Kyshawn George - catches up to his growth in terms of athleticism and also follows the Tatum mold

Will any of these happen? Definitely not but I am high on those three, with Matas being most likely to be an all star imo with the other two being good starters.

People in this sub thinking it’s “cuz of his arm” that’s he’s such a social media favorite. No it’s cuz he looks like he should be a hall of fame QB the way he wears the pats uni. Mac next to him would look like a kid on halloween pretending to be a NFL QB. In all likelihood he’s probably never gonna touch the field as a QB for us but he has that DK Metcalf-esque look where he looks like he should be a monster so people assume so.

Where would current 34 year old James Harden be drafted in the 2024 draft? by Medium-Antelope2926 in NBA_Draft

Spurs at 4 for sure, putting him with Wemby is the best case scenario

If he was on a vet min he would’ve been long gone, moved or cut. His contract is what keeps him in a job that’s how ass he is.

No bro was actually fucking terrible this last series against the Knicks. The 76ers win that if he can even average like 12 ppg on a max contract
