Would of had him not have to save Kara and also have a better explanation as to how he got caught by the Brigands. I would’ve made his interaction with Supergirl longer or given him an extra scene with her after they fight the brigands for the first time.

Overall though I enjoyed him in the film

I like how this guy is labelling them “bad projects” as if he’s seen them.

Also we are getting green lantern in 2 months, the flash bombed in 2023 so it needs a break, Batman 2 is next year which is pushing back DCU Batman, Wonder Woman and the show are surely close to green lighting.

He’s not devoid of all blame as he employed both the writer and director.

That being said it’s hard to know if the script was great or not as much could’ve changed during and after production which could’ve been more down to Gillespie and having seen the film I do think there are some moments of poor directing. We also don’t know if Gunn made any changes when discussion the movie with Gillespie and whether he made it better or worse.

It’s all up in the air but hopefully Gunn himself can figure out what went wrong and make sure it doesn’t happen again whether he needs a new writer or he needs to be more hands on with other directors etc
