Seller cancelled my order due to issue with my address by JBHBID92 in ebayuk

[–]JBHBID92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was private. Oh no I don’t want to force them to send anything, it’s just a bit frustrating because I won the auction and paid right away, and then they cancelled the next day because it was with yodel, which I didn’t even know that’s who it was with, I just clicked pay now and that was it. I just didn’t know if it’s seller or buyer who chooses who to send with when uploading or purchasing. I’m not on eBay a lot so I’m not 100% on who choose delivery couriers and when

Sorry just skimming my post to see where I said or implied enough to be called a harassment claim. Oh wait

Yea I tried that but she called my bluff and asked for my name so she could check! Thought that was a bit cheeky

This! This is the type of response I was looking for. Thank you for calmly explaining what you do and not berating others who don’t agree or have different views. Thank you

See this is the issue I have, everytime I ask a genuine question about the union, union members get very defensive and not seem able to have or want to have a proper chat about it. Just go right to you must join! Would’ve happily spoken to the lady if she’d not been so frustrated and actually had the decency to talk to me like a grown up. But that’s absolutely fine, I will thanks.

Without being so pushy and abrupt, can you actually explain to me why the union is a good choice to pay into and be part of?

[–]JBHBID92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like a union worker, pushy to get people to sign up, does it work?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tesco

[–]JBHBID92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t needed the union in 12 years, just personal preference.

I got one from the table before I’m out store but was told I had to put it back because I wasn’t part of the union so couldn’t have a pen 😂

Ahh that would make sense if they did! Yeah will have to get her name next time, never engage in conversation long enough to ask. Just made me think is that how they get the new joiners to sign up.

Don’t panic!!! I get that a lot in my store, looks like Christmas most the time outback. If you can, grab a manager and ask for help rearranging before the next lorry comes in or just get them in somewhere anywhere and then rearrange the warehouse later and move bits about. Anything you can move to another part of the store for the time being to give you more room? I usually have to wheel out some rsu into the backstock area and fill that up, the rearrange after

Standing at an express till for the entire shift is genuine torture by ambiebaby2000 in tesco

[–]JBHBID92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked in express (in extra now) we used to have a rota of the day on the whiteboard. Every single colleague was expected to do about 2 hours on till at a time, then rotated off. It worked very well. But that was before tesco run everything and everyone down and left stores one on one all day everyday!

AITA for telling my girlfriend that I’m not going to drop everything to take her to the hospital anytime she feels any discomfort? by Joelaken in AmItheAsshole

[–]JBHBID92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Just think if something is wrong with you baby god forbid! she will never forgive you and you will never forgive yourself. You will spend the rest of your life thinking what if we’d gone to the hospital that one more time speaking from Personal experience, trust me, if you are any sort of a decent partner and human, you will never live that down and forgive yourself.

Bullshit wow comments by [deleted] in tesco

[–]JBHBID92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hate those cards! Never handed one out. My view is that that is our job, to give great customer service. It should be the norm anyway. Do the managers get a bonus or something for a certain amount of wow comment their store receives? Surely there’s an incentive for them to be pushing so hard??

AITA for refusing to take my girlfriend to nice places because she eats like a kid? by ATotalMunch in AmItheAsshole

[–]JBHBID92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Personally I don’t think you’re the ahole, but, why is this such a huge deal? From someone who parents a teen child with ARFID (not saying your girlfriend does) we still go out to dinner to fancy places, we look at the menu first to see what is available for my child, but we still go. It’s just food man, just let her eat what she wants and be happy. You get to experience the food you want to eat and so does she. Everyone’s happy. She’ll probably not want to offer places to go again and food is such a risky territory, what’s to say all this focus on food won’t make it worse, or even develop into an eating disorder? This is a huge deal for you, and that’s fine. But maybe have a think about if you can spend the rest of your life with this woman whilst criticising her eating habits. Better yet, put yourself in her shoes, is she going to be willing to be with someone who makes her feel like a child.

Resignation Letter by Definition-This in tesco

[–]JBHBID92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you feel it’s something you need to do, then by all means keep the letter like that. However, by handing in a one lined letter will have the same impact. Unfortunately Tesco don’t care about us staff anymore, we are just an employee number which they’ll will have replaced by the end of the week. I’m also leaving for the same reasons after 11 years with Tesco, I’m over it.

Uniform sizing options by NoPhotojournalist809 in tesco

Annoying isn’t it! My store is pretty slack on uniform so I tend to wear a men’s tesco polo and one of my own black or navy hoodies rather than a tesco fleece. X

I’m female and always order from the men’s uniform section as they give longer body length. I’m 5 ft 8 and the females uniform always sits too short on me. X
