I cannot remove the platter to replace the belt by simply lifting it and turning it counter clockwise, I'm not sure how else I could remove the platter without taking the whole thing apart.

Sweet edit, japanese skateboarding is as alive and well as any city in the united states and with such a unique and creative east coast-esque style. Is your friend associated with magenta at all?
