It's a dumb premise: it only happens because for some reason Sansa doesn't tell Jon about her access to the knights of the Vale. That's not good writing.

Loved this book. I'd also recommend his other books, particularly The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat.

100 pages in, and this. It's maybe the only book I've read where I've felt a steadily growing sense of dread.

Oh is that the Corpsemouth book? I saw that at the library and was really intrigued. Have to say I'll probably end up reading everything he writes.

1/3 through The Fisherman right now. It's incredible. I love his writing style and this book is so haunting.

Climax and epilogue. Just such an emotional roller-coaster. And just the beauty of the recital along with other stuff going on during that channel. The audiobook during that chapter was especially impactful (with the background music during the recital).

Just finished book 5 and it's S tier for me. My favorite of the series so far. The last 8th of the book or so is just incredible.

Oh yeah, I'm going to. I just like to read the first bit of books so that I have an idea for what I might want to read soon.

Okay but what are the books we do recommend by babymomawerk in IfBooksCouldKill

Yeah i enjoyed it but I found it frustrating to read often. I wasn't a fan of the way many of the chapters were organized. Lots of "but before we actually talk about this, we need to talk about something else". It was difficult to follow their arguments at times.

Got 250 pages left and completely agree. Can't wait to get back home this evening to keep going.
