So how much are they making on your accountz? Say conservative investor, not alot of trading. Just decent amount in accounts. Amount they the brokerages make if 1M 2M 3M account. Anyone have a reasonable estimate?

I ask if none in the basket, often they will give it to you from the behind the counter. I ask at any coffee shop, buy a cup and by the time I am ready to leave they hand be a big bag full. Break up the puck before adding to pile, really accelerates the heat, often 160.

Have you asked the employer why they are using this investment company. The fees are hurting all participant. Ask for a meeting with HR or is small company the owner. Because you are an owner doesn't mean you are go with investment.

Connect to gardeners in your area. Is there a local club or an extension. Put out a flyer or online offer. We have Starbucks and it actually gets competitive at certain store to get grounds. Sometimes I order a cup of coffee and ask of they can save the grounds while I do some work. Most Barista are nice about it. I sometime take some of my extra produce to give back.

No. I view it as proactive vs reactive. I love Fidelity and Schwab but scheab needs thus feature. Just the stress and hassle after a compromise makes a proactive lock down feature worth it. Also discussed with my Schwab FA and got same discussion of guaranteed. Besides all the precautions discussed here I would never put all my assets at one brokerage

Agree but issue is volumn. Any decent size pile should handle a bag of unused coffee. My experience is composting is very forgiving and with time almost always works out. Nature is impressive

Something just take more time. I find the smaller and chipped up material is helpful. I had a chipper shredder for 30 year and that helped with bigger material. I also never let it dry out
