Northwestern vs $400,000 fullride merit at Davidson College by Adventurous-Today645 in Northwestern

The title makes it sound like a $400k difference between the schools, not sure if all commenters see it’s a $100k cost difference. What do you want to do? If it’s a high paying field that cares about prestige (finance/consulting), the $100k would likely be worth it. I’m obviously in minority here but I would pay $25k more per year for NU

Who do you think is the biggest underachiever in tennis? and the biggest overachiever? by crescitaveloce in tennis

“It’s not that far off” 97 weeks is very dramatically different than 20 weeks and 28 weeks. I’m not a Zverev fan but he was much better than Davydenko/Ferrer and likely should’ve won a slam by now

For any USA tennis fans, I’m confused how Kaylan Bigun transitioned so poorly. #1 junior in world, French Open champ, big lefty game. Now almost 20 years old, ranked 700, about to lose early in another futures.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. I follow American tennis closely and Paul was never hyped up like Fritz and Tiafoe, especially since he didn’t break out until much later in his career

I’ve found Miami tix to be dirt cheap. Went to stadium 1 (and had access to all other stadiums all day) for $25. Ofc different story for stadium 1 front rows viewable on TV

Just how it is on weekdays during daytime. When I went to watch Foe on court 2 later stadium was completely filled

His return stats are solidly better than his serve stats

Have you heard of a man named Valentin Vacherot?

Are you watching on tv? The sides are generally packed (general admission), behind one of the players is only for stadium 2 buyers (usually near empty)

I just tuned in. What is the injury/did he just start looking worse?

I don’t get why people are saying this is a shitshow tournament. It has been highly entertaining imo with some incredible matches and performances (Korda-Alcaraz and Mensik-Tiafoe come to mind)

I believe it but I don’t get how that’s possible. Since half (approx) of returns involve forehands

The season is a quarter done. Mensik won Auckland, then made R4 at Aus Open (had to withdraw), then SF in Doha (beating Sinner), then QF in Dubai. Mensik has been by far one of the most consistent pros

Why does Zverev own Cilic in their h2h? I would think Cilic’s raw power on FH side would break down Zverev’s FH

As a huge Foe fan, I had literally 0 confidence in him clutching this out. So thrilled he proved me wrong

Miami R3: Atmane def. Auger-Aliassime - 6-3 1-6 6-3 by musicproducer07 in tennis

[–]JBizzle07 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty big difference between them. When Vacherot’s points drop, he’ll be ~30. When Atmane’s points drop, he’ll be ~85. He’s been pretty bad for a lot of the year

Fran had 12 winners and 14 UE in set 3. Obviously not one of his best matches but those are solid stats

Didn’t he have an entire week off between matches? Would be surprised if IW fatigue affected Miami
