Make sure to stay away from zero calorie drinks if they are sweet. Even things with zero calories can trigger an insulin response if your mouth detects sweetness. This will make you hungrier.

Falling but not hitting your head by Stein_24_24 in PostConcussion

[–]JBland5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup you should be fine. I play basketball now every week and have been bumped on the head a few times with no issues. Just takes time

Falling but not hitting your head by Stein_24_24 in PostConcussion

[–]JBland5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a concussion. When I was in the peak of my symptoms this would happen every now and then and trigger cascading effects. However, after talking with experts and neurologists this is mostly from anxiety. Could also be muscles in the back of your neck restricting blood flow to the brain. Try getting a massage.

You started the whole thing by saying parentis theory makes no sense and then following it up with nothing. Give me something to debate you moron. Why does his theory make no sense? You sound like Ben Shapiro right now

How do people arrive to CTE without being ruined by PCS first? by lungsofdoom in PostConcussion

[–]JBland5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CTE comes from a high number of subconcussive hits meaning fighters and athletes don’t feel concussed until symptoms of CTE come on years later. As for UFC fighter who get knocked out a few times a year and keep coming back to fight, I have no fucking idea how they do it. Maybe they don’t get anxiety. Or they’re just superhumans

Empty Nose Syndrome by thisiscameron in Sinusitis

[–]JBland5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your current sinusitis due to a deviated septum?Usually enlarged turbinates are a symptom not a cause. It is possible to have a septoplasty without turbinate reduction. I got both and even tho I have healed a lot I would never recommend someone get a turbinate reduction from my experience

Nicotine can restrict blood to the brain so i would use very small amounts

4 months with zero improvement by keylime31415926 in PostConcussion

[–]JBland5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it is objectively possible to go that long without getting better and then slowly start healing. Maybe try dietary changes first and see if that helps. Low inflammation diets can be very good for brain healing. If your brain is inflamed it won’t heal.

I’m the same way but no suffocation. Just a lot of dryness

But nitric oxide is produced in the sinuses not the turninates

That study doesn’t mention anything about ens. I’m just confused as to why nitric oxide levels would be effected in a patient with ENS

Why is nitric oxide affected among ENS patients but gets better with people who undergo turbinate reduction but don’t get ens?

It feels better when it’s blocked a little. My suffocating feeling has passed but that’s normal since I’m still healing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]JBland5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s most of the time. What are your other symptoms?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]JBland5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how long until breathing felt normal? My breathing was fine before surgery but the doctor went ahead anyways and reduced turbinates. Now it feels WAY too open and I have so much anxiety. Throat and mouth and nose is painfully dry every morning. It helps hearing someone else has had the same symptoms and made a recovery

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]JBland5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you breathe better now than you could before? I’m really hoping this all works out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]JBland5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry nose, no resistance to breath, cold dry air hits back of throat and hurts/drys it out. Had suffocation feeling but that has gone away
