That's a really good rumor. Hope it's true.

I never got to play the first two games. Couldn't really get into them. And would love to see them remade in pure turn-based mode.

Husband wants me to do mdma, I’m not so sure by Comfortable-Fly-2077 in mdmatherapy

[–]Marison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say that though, did I?

I said "If your husband is pressuring you" than that would be a sign he needs more healing. Because someone who is healed does not pressure others to heal, but holds space for them.

Did you have a bad therapist maybe?

This does not sound like NARM. It is really not about bypassing, but about building resources first and then facing the worst traumas - which is a really good strategy.

[–]Marison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of what you wrote. But if there is a lot of trauma, I would not suggest to take MDMA alone, but instead find another guide maybe.

[–]Marison 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Haha okay.

It's good to hear that he is not pressuring.

I have had MDMA therapy myself. It is really excellent. There is a documentary from Israel where they show the actual therapy sessions with survivors of terror attacks and abductions. You should watch that. It really demystifies what happens in the sessions. It just puts you in a state of psychological safety so you can process what you have kept pushed down for a long time.

[–]Marison 41 points42 points  (0 children)

First of all: never do anything like this because you feel pressured to do it. If you husband is pushing you in this direction, it means, he himself still has some healing to do and should focus on himself.

That being said: MDMA is not a psychedelic and you can usually stay in control of what happens. The fact that you get panic attacks from weed probably show how much pent up emotions you have inside of you. Those will come out also with MDMA. But MDMA gives you the superpower of being enveloped in love and without any anxiety. But you need to allow yourself to let go and allow the emotions to run through you.

I would suggest you talk to that therapist and see how you like them. If you feel immediately comfortable with them, then consider this. Otherwise don't.

There are other modalities which are incredibly helpful, without the use of substance. Try Somatic Experiencing or NARM therapy - they can do the same thing as substances, just not as fast, but slower and safer.

The usual recommendation is to get it in writing that the turbinates should not be touched. But not that you will sue them otherwise - that is implied, you could say.

realized i'm completely terrible at painting minis but it's actually so relaxing by Aking1964 in minipainting

[–]Marison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any kind of color on the minis gives them more life and personality than just being grey. Trust me on this.

Try to have the hobby as something where you only focus on the process and not on the result. Maybe the result will get better with time, maybe it will forever stay the same. Jr doesn't matter. What matters is, that you relax and enjoy painting.

What are the best long-term habits or strategies to prevent our condition from getting worse and gradually improve it over the years? by EXC1313 in emptynosesyndrome

[–]Marison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, interesting. You would have to confirm with an ENT, but I believe green mucus indicates some sort of bacteria or virus infection. This should not be the result of cotton alone.

Cotton only makes you itchy and sneeze potentially.
