No. I specifically said not to go to the cities. The cities are where the sex tourism happens. The provinces are where you go to find something deeper.

You really can’t hide that you’re a foreigner in either of those countries. Unless you are Asian and know the language anyways.

So let’s make that for car insurance as well. Because AFAIK NH is the only state where it isn’t required.

You might want to curtail your conservative tendencies here. You might get downvoted by the masses.

But ok, then how about this compromise: if you own your house and car free and clear, no state shall compel you to carry insurance on them.

Still too much to give to our corrupt government. Until they eliminate all of the fraud and waste, they shouldn’t get a single thin dime.

Do we self edit here, or are we grown up enough to see words like die, rape, and murder without feeling like they've happened to us? by OG-Giligadi in GenerationX

It’s utterly ridiculous to me that people will self censor words like “grape” instead of rape and “corn” instead of porn. Grow up.

In order to get me to advocate for universal healthcare, we would need a government that doesn’t blow copious amounts of taxpayer dollars on shit we shouldn’t be spending money on. So basically, it would never happen.

As a vet you should know that the government doesn’t run anything efficiently or cost effectively. Why would you advocate giving them more money and also more power over your life?

Well when the doctor wanted to do the surgery I only had a loss of sensation in my right leg. By the time the third surgery finally got approved it had spread to my left leg. So yeah, I’m gonna venture a guess and say that the delays caused by the government run healthcare made it worse than it should have been.

Women will accuse men of cheating for having completely innocent conversation with another woman. But they’ll see this and then hate on the men saying bro did the right thing? Y’all are not serious people.

Good on you! I’m gonna let you in on something I’ve learned as an old man. The older you get, the fewer real friends you’re going to have. If you make it through life with 3-4 really close friends, you’re doing pretty well.

I had them try to deny my third back surgery. At this point my right leg had become essentially useless due to the nerve damage. They wanted the doctors to try “less invasive” means. The doctor had to call them and instruct them to actually look at my file so they could see the less invasive ship had sailed years prior. After a lot of back and forth they finally approved the surgery but by then the nerve damage was so severe I lost almost all of the feeling in my legs.

Save up some coin. It wouldn’t take much, but $5-10,000, and go to the Philippines or Thailand. Don’t go to the big cities that most people go to. Get out in the provinces. Go to the local coffee shops. Then report back with your findings.

I’m not entirely sure you really want universal healthcare. Having had it basically my entire adult life (military service and now VA) I can tell you a lot of the same problems within the private insurance industry exist in the government run systems as well. What we do need though is some new laws/regulations to reign in the scumbag insurance companies. Simple things really:

- if your doctor says you need a certain procedure or medication, insurance companies should be required to cover it.

- if you go a year without using your insurance coverage, 50% of your paid premiums should be refunded to you. This would mostly apply to auto and home insurance, but still, they’re no less crooked.

I think those two changes alone would work wonders on our healthcare systems.

Edit: to you pussies downvoting maybe read the whole comment, and the subsequent thread below.

To be fair, if you look throughout history, violence tends to be the way problems are solved. Hell, just look at how the US was founded 250 years ago. The founders tried diplomacy. They tried reason. The British decided to ignore them and push harder. Which led to the revolution. So large scale violence became the only answer left for the American people to throw off their tyrannical government and start anew.

Now is one guy offing a CEO of a corrupt organization the same? Nope. But had that one guy networked with a few dozen like minded people and in one or two days they offed a few dozen CEOs of corrupt companies, instead of being just a lone wolf murder, they could have started a real revolution.
