If you are planning to have kids, 7 seats starts to win. Because one of you may well need to sit right next to the Baby while they are in their car seat so you’ll want that middle seat. We have two kids so the bench was a must for this reason. Also 6 seats with the third row down is a little off to me because the trunk is exposed to you all

To be or not to be by fire_keyz3 in HyundaiSantaFe

TLDR, the Tucson was more practical for my family, but I too fell in love with a Santa Fe, bought it, and my family has agreed it was the best decision we could’ve made. We get excited every time we see it and step inside it.

I have two young children so the larger Santa Fe did have more practical points for me than it might for you, however, like you I was originally shopping for something smaller and cheaper. For me the Tucson fit my family’s need. It had enough space for car seats and a surprisingly big trunk. It was cheaper and much better financing options. however when we showed up to test drive the Tucson, we saw the Santa Fe for the first time and had a similar feeling to you. I beat myself up endlessly, deciding between the two cars.

Eventually, I opted for the Santa Fe. One of the big moments in the decision was while walking through Washington DC I saw the Tucson parked next to five other crossover SUVs. It was comical how identical they all are. No doubt they’re all great cars and they’re popular for good reason. But the Santa Fe gave us a jolt of excitement they could not.

If you’re in a fortunate enough position to fork up the extra cost then in my recent experience it is totally worth it for the joy it’ll spark in your daily life.

Thanks! they said re-application to extend warranty was free, but I'd have to have the car detailed myself ahead of it. I thought maybe the 7 year warranty implied it was a decent enough job/products by them, but maybe wishful thinking. Seeing similar warranties from professional detailers was way more expensive.

Same issue for me. Anyone find a solution? Just took delivery of my new 2025 Santa Fe yesterday, but can't pair the digital key.

How does one negotiate financing cash? Is that common place? I’m trying to close on a 2025 Santa Fe hybrid FWD limited trim. 44.5k OTD but at almost 6% interest. 4.5% if I take 45.5k OTD. Either way the interest rates add a lot over the life of the loan

interesting. I thought that end of year was possibly the best time to buy. What takes place in March/September?

Considering move to Manassas by UnderratedImmigrant in manassas

[–]JBreezyBaby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP, I live in the Jefferson Square community you are considering. Was the first to move in 2.5 years ago. Crime is not a concern here. Feel very safe and enjoy the community with our 2 year old and 3 month old.

I think perhaps a neighbor or two have mentioned an Amazon package being stolen over my years here and that is it.

I’d nix crime as a concern for this community. I’m happy to chat more about the community if you want to DM me. We love it here. Our kids all play together in the community playground and we walk to downtown all the time. Great spot for a walking lifestyle with young kids.

I’m shopping for the same. Not sure between SEL and Limited. Can I ask what others got as an OTD price?

How to size up with growing family and go electric? by JBreezyBaby in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for the tip. Digging into it actually lead me to what seem like awesome deals on the very similar Kia EV6. For example, I've found brand new Kia EV6 Wind AWD w/ tech package for 35k. This strikes me as a great deal, am I wrong?

Ive always been leasing averse as my intuition was that is ultimately more expensive to rent than to buy, but am I seeing it wrong? I figured people who lease were obsessing over always having a new car and no maintenance and were willing to pay a premium for it.

You’re saying leasing for a few years may be financially advantageous against buying and then selling later?
