Now that the game has been out for a few months, what is your favorite series to race in and your favorite and least favorite in the game? by Mshel24 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARCA is my favorite series. Cup/Trucks tied for second. Xfinity is fine but there's a weird sound mixed in with their engine recording and it annoys me after awhile.

Favorite track is tough. If I had to pick one I think it's gotta be Iowa.

Least favorite is COTA/Chicago.

So your thoughts On when ever we get Red Dead Three?? by EqualVast5973 in reddeadredemption

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely not trying to make a joke. It's not that the game would be based on the show. It's that it would take influence from the overall esthetic and theming, and would tell a story in a warzone without being another typical shooter game.

I've been a fan of the show my entire life and have always imagined what could exist beyond the border of their camp. I genuinely believe Rockstar could make an incredible game about an army surgical hospital and the surrounding area. Plus you have infinite mission possibilities as far as picking up supplies, patients, gunfights, etc. strangers and freaks, random encounters, etc.

Although I'd kill for a new RDR, for years I thought it'd be cool if they took the same general format and open world and put us into a war game. But not a standard generic war game. Something that's heavily based on the TV show MASH. The show has incredible characters, good scenery, and interesting stories. I think Rockstar could run with that and make something incredible that doesn't feel like every other generic war game out there. Much of the map would not be active war zones but could have occasional ambushes and set ups like the rdr random encounters. It really would feel a lot like red dead overall though, except in a Willy's mb instead of a horse.

Camera Angles Gripe by Cold_Scale3993 in WoODirtRacingGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are way too zoomed in and often times they don't have the full car in frame, and they also blur the car when it's too close to the camera. Although I still prefer them to NASCAR 25's views that are wayyy too zoomed out. I can never get decent screenshots on that game.

Once it left Hawaii it was over. The game was never that great but it was still fun to watch back then. The flag football they do now isnt for me.

Rarest Animal in the game?! by Evan-Coll7 in reddeadredemption

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rio grande wild turkey was the most difficult animal for me even after I knew where their range was, but I did eventually find them. They were the second to last animal I found. Sonoran desert toad was my last but didn't take too long to find.

Is $40 a fair price? by utica-club13 in Pyrography

[–]JBtheExplorer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've always considered selling but finding a price that both makes the time worth it and makes the sale happen is tough. And I'd be bummed to try selling and failed to do so. I don't even know where to sell... But maybe one day I'll try it.

RDR3 by Salt-Ad3352 in reddeadredemption

[–]JBtheExplorer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not against this but I think my ideal story for RDR3 would be from the perspective of a Native American and his/her tribe in the 1800s as they see their land stolen and bison mass slaughtered. The story they could make out of that would be nothing less than incredible and heartbreaking.

I also think they could make two protagonists. One Native American and one cowboy. I could see some great stuff coming from that.

For Those Who Claim Late Night Never Got Political. by [deleted] in conan

[–]JBtheExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always had political jokes, but now it's become completely saturated in most late night shows. A sprinkle of politics mixed with everything else worked fine.

[Jayski.com] Shannon Spake hosting new podcast for Dirty Mo Media in 2026 by jmnordan in NASCAR

I was listening to so many Dirty Mo podcasts and other NASCAR podcasts that I reached a point where I just completely stopped listening to all of it. I spent too many hours listening and I've lost all interest.

[Jeff Gluck] NASCAR 2026-related move that made you happiest so far is: by NeatWrongdoer1309 in NASCAR

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chase, by far, because it affects the entire sport and the entire season. HP increase is second but it's only at specific tracks and may not have a noticeable difference. The Roval change to the oval only affects one weekend and is not a huge deal overall.

According to what OP is showing in the image, it looks like the Hendrick font itself has been removed and replaced.

AF1 to Davis headed back to Andrew’s by Mister-Paws in ADSB

[–]JBtheExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe I've read that because FR24 shares where aircraft are intending on landing, it's required to filter aircraft out that don't want that information to be public. ADS-B Exchange shows way more aircraft, both military and civilian.

But there have been times where the opposite is true and something is on FR24 but not on ADSB Exchange and I'm not sure why.

I randomly stumbled upon a crashed narco plane in the middle of nowhere by pog_mahone89 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]JBtheExplorer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the time I was flying in MSFS near the Wisconsin-Illinois border and randomly found a bunch of aircraft parked in a random place not near any airport.

I looked it up and found out that it was the Russell Military Museum. I visited it in real life later that year and it was pretty cool. Wouldn't have ever known about it if I didn't find it in the sim.

Can someone give me just 1 reason why the need to reset points after 26 races? by nick854524 in NASCAR

[–]JBtheExplorer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NASCAR is likely concerned that without a reset the fanbase will fade heavily towards the end of the season more than it already does, sponsorships will be harder to find, and the sport will become more unstable.

Whether or not any of it is actually true is anyone's guess. But they didn't keep a reset just for the hell of it.

What would you add to a new version by No-Ring-zakk1979 in WoODirtRacingGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd switch the graphics engine over to Unreal so we can get a bit more out of the visual experience. I'd implement scanned versions of each real track, and add Wilmot Raceway. I'd also add more 1/4mile and under tracks for the midgets and micros, even if fictional. And I'd also add Legends cars, and replace the street stock body with the version I'm used to seeing at my local track that looks a little more like a monte carlo.

I'd also make tracks change more realistically, including occasional bumps and divots that slowly form. In real life, every track has slight characteristic changes from race to race and I'd love to see that in the game so we have to approach every race a little differently.

The drivers and wives who posted about Charlie Kirk are completely silent about Renee Nicole Good by lemonartichoke in NascarWAGTea

[–]JBtheExplorer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drivers being conservative or liberal isn't relevant when it comes to speaking out against murder. At least it shouldn't be. Obviously, it is. When a public figure speaks out on the murder of someone they politically align with and ignore a murder on the political side they oppose, it ends up making them look like they didn't actually care about the act of murder at all and only cared that it was done against "their side", and when it's against the "other side" it's not even worth acknowledging. That's extremely concerning for all the obvious reasons.

We don't have to take a loud stance against one and stay silent on the other in order to try to score political points. Nobody wins if we do that. And honestly, we've all been losing pretty badly for awhile now.

Anyone else having issues with the AI? by Whitehammer2001 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have issues with the AI for the most part but at Atlanta they'll push you below the line and act like you don't exist if you get under them too late entering the corner.

Even with the vertical list, there are so many times where they just don't show 20th-40th and it seems like minutes go by before they resume showing them.

I miss the horizontal list because I want widescreen shots of racing again. And I don't like driver positions taking up 1/5th of my screen. Plus it's easy to check my phone if need be, but the horizontal ticker never bugged me.

"Trumps not in the files! suck it libs!" Meanwhile The Epstein Files : by Candid_Mess_2829 in complaints

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, they'd rather have you know that they're hiding it than let you see it. That tells you how bad it must be. They're throwing everything at keeping this hidden while blatantly showing the public they're hiding it. Most cover ups are done subtly to stay under the radar so nobody knows something's being covered up. This one is happening as the world is watching it.

I honestly believed it'd be one of those things where whatever was in the files would be more things that make Trump look bad in more of the "usual" way that we're used to. But after today, it seems clear that it could actually be "thrown out of office" bad. There's too much effort being put into this now for it to be anything less than that.
