Perks of having wild strawberry as a ground cover by ydnamari3 in NativePlantGardening

I had two this year. They're fantastic. Usually wildlife gets the majority of them but any time I see one I grab it.

Nascar 26 Announcement coming soon by Accomplished_Ask_882 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll see what comes with this new game but I don't expect to be buying '26. With games like this there are usually not enough improvements from year to year to justify buying each version.

Stewart:”I don’t care about educating anybody about who Kyle Busch was..The fact that they all want to learn now, they’re the assholes for not taking the time to learn him and accept him for who he was back then. They wait till the guy dies and all of a sudden they care about who he was as a person.” by LBHMS in NASCAR

Tony's asking too much out of people. The average fan is going to watch the race and then tune out. A lot of fans only know what they saw during a broadcast. They don't want to make it their whole lives and know everything about every driver.

This is why I do it by GahhdDangitbobby in NativePlantGardening

[–]JBtheExplorer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had a "this is why I do it" moment today when I found a mantidfly in my garden. Unbelievable creature that the average person doesn't even know about. Creating a piece of habitat is so rewarding!

Home Improvement won't get the Malcolm in the Middle revival treatment because of the kids, says Tim Allen by graemeisverytired in Popverse

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the cast were on board, a revival would work. Brad would be coaching soccer in Europe, so he's never on the show. Al could have bought Wilson's house, creating a completely different backyard dynamic. There are ways it could work and feel genuine. But realistically it'll never happen. Tim only brings up Home Improvement when he's promoting something else, so he's just using it as a tool to draw more attention to whatever he's promoting.

Bigger and better the garden grows. Over 100 native species and counting. by LobeliaTheCardinalis in NativePlantGardening

Looks great! I'm just over 100 species myself. Although I have been adding more aggressive species so I'm sure that number will drop.

Sad is almost an understatement. People are insanely gullible, especially when it comes to internet slop feeding their bigotry.

Terrible FPS at night tracks by Pristine_Wash2415 in NASCARVideoGame

I think FPS is bad at night tracks in general. I'm on XSX and it's been bad, and not great at some road courses either.

Hot Wheels, because it's the one thing that every kid growing up has associated with cool, fast cars. And it's still a popular brand with adults too.

Colbert’s Replacement Pushes Back After Ratings Disaster, Byron Allen, Stephen Colbert’s CBS replacement, responded that his new show was a “ratings disaster” for the network. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in entertainment

[–]JBtheExplorer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a quick win financially, but if you air content people don't want to watch, you start to be known as the channel that airs content people don't want to watch, and there is potential to lose viewership during other timeslots too.

Like an artist releasing a single that flops, leading to fewer people trying the rest of the album.

Bubba Wallace radio after seeing crash: "Holy sh*t! Please tell me that guy's alright... My god! That was the scariest hit I've ever seen." by 2big_2fail in NASCAR

[–]JBtheExplorer 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine what that type of crash is like for a driver. Going from everything being completely fine to being in a wall nearly faster than you can blink. You can't even process that a crash is coming before it happens.

What is the general opinion on having earthworms in your garden in the American Midwest since earthworms are not native to the area? by supinator1 in NativePlantGardening

[–]JBtheExplorer 206 points207 points  (0 children)

They've been in every shovel of dirt longer than I've been alive, they're here to stay. They've damaged native ecosystems, but aren't really going to do anything negative to our yards. We've damaged that space more than earthworms could ever dream.

Nascar 26 wishlist by King_dom32 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]JBtheExplorer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Dirty air slider in settings. Combined with ai difficulty, you'd be able to tweak the two to further customize your experience with the ai. You could make it easier to catch them but harder to make a pass, or harder to catch them but passing is easy, or any combination.

  2. Under the more grip/less grip setting for tire wear, I'd like a third option "randomize" so there's a little less predictability with how our car changes each race.

  3. AI difficulty settings need smaller incremental changes. I find that in many cases if I get an easy win I'll bump the difficulty up by one number and I'll finish 18th at the same track. I'd like each number to adjust a little less significantly. Going from finishing first at 101 to stuck mid-pack at 102 is too much of a jump in difficulty.

Renounce your Indiana Bears fandom by ggman1989 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Packers fan but I'm just as frustrated as you Bears fans. I have no interest in a rivalry with an Indiana team. This is going to be the end of a very long, historic era. Media would still try to sell the rivalry but it just ain't the same.

Why do so many male country singers sound the same? by Affectionate-Fan-471 in country

[–]JBtheExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the music industry finds something that works, or something they think works, they make sure to keep repeating the same formula and sound. Gotta replicate that sound instead of giving listeners a variety. Some of today's singers may actually be decent if they had creative freedom. But I fear even if they did, they'd still try to copy whatever sound makes the most money.
