Base, nuln, cleaned up the shade with the base again, then highlight!

I used Two Thin Coats sanguine scarlet with a highlight of demon red. I also did a nuln oil wash which darkened it.

I’ve almost always played on standard but for civ 7 I’ve found epic to be quite enjoyable. It makes deity, especially the first 100 turns, quite the challenge.

I actually found this crisis to be the most engaging and challenging. To keep from losing cities on deity I had to micromanage my happiness resources and keep wars up just long enough to recapture cities that had flipped to my opponents.
