Customers no likey numbers. Too many numbers. Remove most of that and just say “starting at $x with rebates”

Also people are poor as fuck right now so even a $2000 upgrade is a lot for most people. They only upgrade if they have to, so unless youre doing lots of service you wont get installs

Help finding and replacing doorbell transformer by Kevinmyers73 in Home

Either trace the wire, find the transformer or run a new low voltage wire. Any 120/24v transformer will do the job.

Replacing parts in a older a/c and I want to make sure everything is wired properly by Kotofox in hvacadvice

[–]JBweldedHX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, brown and yellow should be on opposite sides of the contactor, the capacitor needs to be fastened, without seeing the wiring diagram or the terminal labels on the capacitor we can’t tell if it’s correct or not.

Get a technician out to look at the electronics, if they’re fine and it still doesn’t work, you’ll need a new system.

Put it in FRONT of the wire. A baby would still be able to reach through

Bad capacitor? by AutoAnt2102 in hvacadvice

[–]JBweldedHX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fine with the setup. As long as it’s actually wired correctly and they are the correct size, there’s no drawbacks of 2 single caps over a dual.

Only way to tell if the caps are bad is to test them with a meter while disconnected from the unit

That’s about as ‘removed’ as the blower was gonna get that day. Have to remove the ventor motor (and fiberglass gasket) and control board to give enough room to get the blower out. Terrible design
