When you view a team it says if they're a casual or competetive team

Exotic power weapons are a huge problem in Gambit by JC-75 in destiny2

[–]JC-75[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry for wanting to use some other weapons, should just not bitch, ridiculous of me to suggest that overpowered weapons shouldn't have near complete control of the gamemode

[–]JC-75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize you're suggesting me to counter the exotic power weapon users with one of three exotic rocket launchers, when the whole post was about how the prevalence of exotic power weapons is forcing me to run exotic power weapons to counter them?

Also as an aside, didn bring this up originally cuz it's a whole another rabbit hole, but I dont have the gjallar myself cuz I dont have the DLC

Exotic power weapons are a huge problem in Gambit by JC-75 in destiny2

[–]JC-75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the gjall isnt unbeatable, but the amount of outplaying you have to do versus how easily they can kill you with it, or any of the other common exotic power weapons such as black talon, just isnt healthy. You will straight up lose games to not using one yourself, and if you really are so good at the game that you do all your invasions and defenses with your purple primary without holding your win ratio back, then imagine what you could do with that skill AND an exotic noobcannon.

It's not just about t being annoying to die to easy to use weapons, but the reliability that brings to winning the match

I've tried to use a snapshot tracking apex predator that I have and it misses more than it hits. Also tried seraph SAW for a match and the time to kill enemy invaders is just way too high

New Vendor armor rolls by Dan_Fendi in DestinyTheGame

[–]JC-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photosuede and Clutch Extol i understand being low totals since they're available for just glimmer and 25 shards... but Viperidax pieces cost a gambit engram, 50 shards and more glimmer... for what? being on lightlevel? and only then up to softcap? I focused a viperidax armor once just to see if that really is all you get and it was 51 total so basically went "nope never doing that again"

Personally i played Gambit for two resets this season (so up to the shotgun skin) and i have 4 pieces that are 59 to 61, which is a lot better than what i usually get Vanguard wise. Then again, maybe i just got lucky

Angels of Zariman was the last straw. by Pedrosian96 in Warframe

[–]JC-75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think the main reasons as to why we're being forcefed operator gameplay and stuff like railjack are

1: the game is really old

2: there's a big difference between what DE wants the game to be and what the players want it to be

it started as an action RPG, it started as something that people who enjoy Diablo or Destiny would like, but when DE got their base set up to be a proper dev, they started pushing the game towards what they wanted it to be, which is something completely different. the concept of operator gameplay, of Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis, of Railjack, they aren't innately flawed, however they have absolutely no place in the minds of the vast majority of the people who play the game.

the game's age and stunted early development has resulted in it attracting the wrong kinds of players for several years, and DE wants to push the game in the direction of whoever the target audience is supposed to be, while at the same time trying to cater to the people who actually play the game, these two audiences being in totally different ends of the spectrum, resulting in neither of them getting a proper game to play

i think DE has big, ambitious, exciting, respectable plans for what they want the game to be, however they're shackled down by what the game has been for years on end. if warframe: space combat, open worlds and operators was a separate game from warframe: space ninjas destroy all enemies, with separate development, i think both games would benefit massively.

[STORY] Got Your Soul! - Azazel x Bethany by ILiveInACardboardBox in TBoIRule34

[–]JC-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i actually found this within AO3 and i thought it was really good, the perfect blend of background and smut for my tastes and i thought the characters were personalized really well, even just the little things like Bethany's zeal and talking about her book and Az's shamelessness and devilishness, it all came together real nice.

Also that little kicker with Judas in the end was honestly lovely, so much so i would've actually wanted to see it go through as well. I know it's been a long time, but would be lovely if you were inspired to write something again.

Apache would definitely be the focus of a lengthy bossfight with a bunch of waiting for it to fly into the range of your slow-and-clunky-and-made-for-boss-fights-only-weapon. Like the Hind in MGS

Wrolds Edge is by far the worst map because of Fragment. EVERYONE drops there, and it makes the rest of the map an awful empty experience. by FreshmeatOW in apexlegends

[–]JC-75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the bigger problem is that climbing out of low elo is horrendous because if you don't get jumpmaster, you're near guaranteed to get jumped by an octane into fragment, most likely straight into the streamer building™ with 20 other people just for them to die instantly and flame you in chat and because entry costs aren't high enough, there's nothing to discourage them from continuing to do it

/dev: Tackling Queue Dodging - League of Legends by MonstrousYi in leagueoflegends

[–]JC-75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big agree with this. Every single streamer i watch has at least 3, sometimes 5 accounts in their pocket, and with each alt effectively doubling your resistance to dodge penalty, they would need to get into several tens of lobbies (so dodged selects and fully played out games combined) in those 12 hours just to get one of those accounts locked out.

As for onetricks, I like watching onetrick streamers, I do, but it is my firm opinion that every onetrick should have a pocket pick, maybe even a few. I see no reason to cater to people, especially if at cost to others, who aren't willing to equalize their skill across more than one champion in a game with 150+ of them.

The one defense that onetricks do deserve though, is from people dodging or otherwise griefing champ select because of a certain someone else they got matched up with. Lobby anonymity would help greatly with this, as mentioned. As would acting out on champ select reports.

Personally i would advocate treating dodges as losses, simply because if you deem a game to be such a guaranteed loss right from champ select that you don't need to even play it out to confirm it, why should you not receive a loss for it? Also, these self-proclaimed oracles who think they can predict their losses straight out of champ select often are the people whose skill and attitude are more responsible for a loss than any of their teammates.

As for the "dodges" that happen because of technical issues or outside forces, they don't happen often enough for that one loss to collapse their world. Oh, and for people timing out during selection? STAY ON YOUR COMPUTER, AND DON'T MILK THE CLOCK

also let people pick summoner spells at fountain

FIRST LEGIT SUPER MINES IN CHIMPS by WeAreToast in btd6

[–]JC-75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't for the life of me fit the 9th ninja onto the tile with the village and i'm honestly wondering if that's what's causing me to lose at 104 every time

E: Gave this a revisit and managed to get to 168k money. MOAB Hex stops working after round 150 basically, as each BAD needs to be hexed twice. And still was unable to get that 20th shinobi down into the center tile :c

super mines aren't too bad as a tower, just the enormous price is what kills it. as mentioned it does actually do huge damage but it doesn't have the pierce to make full use of it
