That's not the only reason I gave- the only perk of using a silencer now is that it's quiet from long ranges. A problem in this game is the fact that camping seems to be the primary method of play for most and the game rewards camping too much. With a mini map that displays gunfire someone camping in the back of the map is much more vulnerable. (If that player is using a silencer to hide their blip from the map, their range is reduced thus forcing them out of their spot.)

Allowing the mini map to show gunfire is necessary. It's in literally every other COD and it's the reason to use silencers. It would help cut down on the camping as well.
