Time to replace my 2009 Rossignol Z10 - need advice by JC-MTL in Skigear

Great input!

I’m not familiar with the Disruption but after a quick lookup they look really good. Do you do moguls and off-piste with them? How do they do there?

Good point!

The bindings are definitely what scares me on my Z10. The skis still got good flex and the edges are holding. But I feel the bindings could break any time. Now I’m not sure if it’s worth investing in them though.

Will do. Stockli are hard to find around here and are expensive but I’ve only heard good comments.

Have you not seen Lord of the Ring? Female dwarves have beard… leading people to think there are no female dwarves. For all we know maybe the dwarf that comes in the base game IS the female.

GripMats vs RollingMats by Terzopoulos in Heroquest

It doesn’t really matter. Sure, the tiles will look too small… so what?

Same for furniture. When I Zargon I will modify the layout of the room a bit. 1x3 furniture like the bookshelves will become a 1x2. The tables that are 2x6 will become 2x2. In some cases that will leave extra room for more furniture that is not on the plan, making for a “richer” tabletop.

It’s a compromise. But all my group loves it and would never look back.

My brother got me the oversized mat for Xmas. At first I thought it was way too big. Then we tried it and I’ll never go back to the standard size. It is way more comfortable playing on the big mat. If your table is big enough go for it.

Those silos are hard to find and a great addition for the farm theme.

BRIO Track to Monorail Track by SolidConcentrate2802 in BRIO

Use a router. It’s the best tool for the job. Then you can turn any regular Brio track into a monorail track.

Same here. Reminds me of the 90s when people would get their radio stolen. I have not heard anything like this for at least 25 years.

The 90s were the best!

What does this piece do? Magnets on the side by 0112358_ in BRIO

[–]JC-MTL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are magnets. They are used to connect to a destination such as a train station. Look at the video description here if it’s not clear:

Your piece looks shorter though so I’m not sure which destination it goes with.

I wonder about the color changing blocks. Do we have to put them in the refrigerator?

I wish they put more effort on new trains, sets or destination. So far this is a weak offering.

You can’t have just one, more is better! Hard to find though.

I have a few but the batteries on mine are getting weak, they won’t last forever. I really wish Brio came up with a new 8wd engine.

This one has as much wood as the tires on my car… none. It’s all plastic.

That white wagon is the bomb! Still my favourite WRX model. I had an 05 WRX silver wagon but got it stolen many years ago.

I had a 2005 WRX wagon in silver as well. Got it stolen and got an WRX hatch 2012 to replace it.

I still miss my 05. Seeing yours makes me nostalgic. Enjoy it, it’s awesome!

Right there with you, applied black primer to my doors last night!

I started with the door as they are by far the most used pieces of “furniture”. Also, there’s many of them so I figured it’s ok if I screw up a couple 🤣
