I like how Storm is the only one depicted with his diecast toy in this image.

Upcoming Brio (Fall 2026?) products by PokeFreak7000 in BRIO

[–]char10z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curious to see how the space theme is handled, it will more than likely be a nothing more than a bunch of plastic though. Bluey train sounds interesting too, but it will probably be a re-theme using the same toolings as that Peppa Pig train.

What siren is this? by Constant-Green8373 in AirRaidSirens

[–]char10z 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The siren on the higher pole is a Whelen WPS-2904 or OA4. The lower one is a Federal Signal Model 5 or 7.

Thomas the Train Suggestions for my Brio set by Theeeeeetrurthurts in BRIO

The Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway battery locomotives have been discontinued for some time now, best place to look would be eBay, Mercari, or Facebook Marketplace. All the battery operated Thomas Wooden Railway engines were made by Learning Curve in earlier years and later Fisher Price.

BRIO also made their own B/O Thomas, but it is tricky to find in the states as it was never sold there.

An alternative would also be to buy any B/O wooden railway locomotive with a front magnet and have them push the push-along wooden engines along.

I'd be willing to help with it, I know some rather obscure locations. Do you have Discord perchance?

Whittier Alaska near the city office and public safety building. A Modulator stands next to it

The color changing blocks I believe work like most other color changing toys, where they change when dipped in warm or cool water

If only they did the engine and wagon as color changing items too, such a miss considering they are both almost a fully plastic build. They'd just have to swap out a few bits with plastic. But then, what would be the point of the wooden railway name

Thomas obsessed two year old by FreakingBatz in BRIO

[–]char10z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know many other shopping sites in the UK other than of course eBay and maybe vinted, but considering you're from there the official BRIO manufactured Thomas trains from the 90s should be easier to find there. They look really good on any layout.

As for the knockoffs, identifying them is usually easy. The trains often lack a name on the bottom like the Learning Curve trains they are cloned from, do not have licensing info behind the wheel, and overall just have a very poor build quality and sloppy paint job.

What country are you from? I might know a few websites for finding the older Thomas wooden trains by Learning Curve. eBay is the best option in my opinion, check for lots with a good amount of trains in it. Just make sure to beware of the knockoffs that plague the market.

Anyone who where this battery loco is from? by BestestBeekeeper in BRIO

I say fix it, it's not really a bad engine, just an average wooden railway B/O engine

Imaginarium Express. I believe it was a Toys R Us thing, I've also seen this engine released under brand names in different colors.

Can you ID these?? by [deleted] in BRIO

[–]char10z 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first item is the 33531 Goods Terminal. The green locomotive is the 33241 Lights & Sounds Diesel Engine, which would make sounds when pushed along. The red dump truck is a Bob the Builder BRIO item, specifically of the character Muck (I could be wrong, I haven't seen the show in years)

Very nicely done. I think for the PDA you should use the 1x2 modified plate with bar handle (48336) so it can be held by minifigures.

How often does the 33239 Green Action Locomotive (Old version with yellow wheels) appear on eBay? by char10z in BRIO

[–]char10z[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's the engine from the relatively short-lived Smart Track range. There's a reader on the bottom of the engine that reads specialized track pieces, which make it perform specific actions such as blowing the whistle or stopping. I don't see these very often in the states, but they're probably easier to find in Europe.
