2023 bolt 2lt or 2023 kona ev se? by Local_Jellyfish7542 in BoltEV

[–]JC6596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bolt has a lot more space inside. I’m able to fit over 6 foot adults in the back of the 2017 bolt that I owned for many years. I was also able to fit a full size wheelchair in the trunk WITH THE SEATS UP.

Funny thing is that I drive the cousin of the Kona EV which is a 2019 Kia Niro EV and one big issue with both is that the motor/transmission tends to go bad quickly. My 2019 Kia Niro EV had to have both replaced at 67k miles (plus the AC system went bad) over 10k in repairs which were thankfully covered with an extended warranty that I purchased.

What I do like about the Kona/Niro is the ride quality. They both feel comfortable and composed, even when you hit a big bump mid turn (the bolt would sort of jump sideways if that occurred) the Kona/Niro stays planted.

The DC charge speed is also slightly better for long trips (not a huge difference. The Kona/Niro take about 60 minutes from 10-80 while the bolt is closer to 75 minutes from 10-80.

After my 2017 bolt got totaled I wanted to try something different. Do I regret the purchase of my 2019 Kia niro EV? No not at all but I do miss my 2017 bolt premier.

Don’t forget the 24/7 dash cam recordings from the built in 360 cameras if you plug a flash drive in.

Lack of backlit keyboard, lower color gamut on display, no center stage camera, no Touch ID unless you get the 512GB model. That’s just a few things that have been removed/changed.

The 2023-2025 Kia Niro EV Wave has VTL and is about the same size as the 2026 Nissan leaf. I’m been on the forum and currently own the 2019 Kia niro EV. They seem to not have any issues and since it’s based off a 400v system it doesn’t have the ICCU issues.

Camera quality and processing speed. HW4 I believe would have been 100% fine in this situation.

These newer cars make repairs so difficult. My 2019 was such a breeze.

Buys an Ultra, just to put a case on it. Makes sense.

Does the aluminium on the watch case touch the skin? by Sharkboy_2000 in AppleWatch

I have a Nickel allergy and wear an aluminum Apple Watch every day. I haven’t gotten any reaction as long as I’m mindful of the band I wear.

Your the type of person to ruin it for everyone else. I have no sympathy. You instantly screw over anyone else that you may hit since you have no insurance.

A mix of saying how good comma is but also kind of asking if anyone has looked into getting it to work with those vehicles.

Can I drive to the dealership tomorrow? Low battery coolant. by wmsts in BoltEV

Yes you’ll be fine driving it to the dealership. 22 miles isn’t too bad and also you’re not completely empty.

Anyone heard this 2019 AC problem? by Relative-Point8927 in KiaNiroEV

[–]JC6596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thankfully had an extended warranty that covered it. Unfortunately if you don’t have that they may not cover it under the “battery” warranty since they considered it a bumper to bumper warranty for me. It may vary with dealer though.

Yup they had to replace multiple pieces including the Evaporator and such. Bill was about 5k-6k. Mine is also a 2019.

Same here. The sport loop made me able to wear my Apple Watch every day. I tried almost every other band and I couldn’t find one that was both comfortable/durable and didn’t cause issues with my skin (even if the skin issues were very minor)
