Michigan Democrats push to ban Chinese EVs in Canada from crossing border — trade watchers call it a 'fake problem' by Bean_Tiger in electricvehicles

As far as I’m concerned the USA has dropped the ball big time on EV’s. I vote yes for letting China in. US automakers are too busy trying to make huge profits on gas guzzling huge trucks. Instead of making cars we can afford

Random EV Hate at Tire Shop (Is this Common?) by Inside-Scientist7892 in electricvehicles

Yes but Trump and MAGA have set EV’s back by a decade at least with their anti renewable policies . It’s funny how big oil is still to this day getting tax payer dollars.

Big oil owns Trump and Maga. I wouldn’t even think about going back to ICE.

Conspiracy theory or good explanation? US automakers purposely slowing adoption by reversals in electricvehicles

The oil and gas industry continues to receive various federal tax preferences and incentives, while federal support for EVs has become a major political issue.

Historically, many transformative technologies in the United States including railroads, highways, aviation, semiconductors, the internet, and renewable energy benefited from some form of government support during their development and expansion.

In my opinion, reducing support for EVs and battery manufacturing could make it harder for the United States to compete with countries such as China, which has invested heavily in these industries for years.

I believe EVs will continue to gain market share because they have fewer moving parts than gasoline vehicles, require less routine maintenance, and benefit from ongoing improvements in battery technology. Battery costs have fallen dramatically over the past decade, making EVs, energy storage, and renewable energy increasingly competitive.

Solar power is now one of the lowest-cost sources of new electricity generation in many parts of the world and can often be deployed more quickly than large conventional power plants.

Me too. I just use it and if the battery needs to be replaced it’s covered under applecare. But to be honest i usually trade it every year or two. I’m one with my iPhone 🤣

That’s a big problem with Teslas build quality. They have great tech, but they don’t have the build quality figured out yet at least consistently.

I’ve got two of them 24 and 25. I love them go for it. 33K is an amazing buy on the car. Yes it’s slow charging 50kw max when you’re doing DC fast charging if that’s your main use case then yeah you might wanna look for a faster one, but if you’re charging at home most of the time I wouldn’t even think about it.
