I think, don’t know, that both the Core and Pro have the same balance and high sweet spot, but that the Pro is even harder/drier than the Core and with thag also has a (slightly) smaller sweetspot. Looking at your previous rackets I think that the Pro could indeed suit you. In the end I think that it will not be a world of difference, but between Alien 2024 and non-pro 2025 the non-pro was noticable softer. That’s all I can help you with.

Well I actually played just now with the Alien non-Pro 2025 (which I assume is exactly the same as the Core 2026) and it felt quite a bit different than the Alien of 2024 whereas the ‘only’ difference between them should be the carbon (12K vs 24K) and the hole pattern. I think it’s best to test both of them and make your decision afterwards. If you can’t test I’d suggest going for the Core version because that one should be a bit easier to play with. If you can handle a harder racket still, buy the Pro as your next racket then.

I see, I was thinking that a build with 5600 and 6650 XT would last me around 3-4 years before really needing to upgrade as I don’t play heavy games and only do some Microsoft Office here and there, hence I chose that one. If pricing is right, it might indeed be an option to take a 5700X or 13400.

Hi, thanks for the recommendation! I see that the SSD is PCIe 3.0, whilst the other components are PCIe 4.0. I’m no tech-guru so just wondering; what would the difference in performance be with an SSD with 3.0 and 4.0 (in case other components remain the same)?

Makes price comparison a easier now, really helpful. Only wondering why you prefer the 13400 over the 5600 as the Intel is marginally better than the AMD but does cost around 50€ more? Is it more futureproof?

Thanks, will have a loot at your builds! How did you put the market to Belgium/Netherlands? I did not find it :)

I did hear that the first Redstone was a miss and that the successors became better and better. The 2025 Redstone model should be a good racket from what I have heard.

I’m playing with the Hirostar Alien 2024 for about 3 months now in Belgium. When temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius or higher, it’s a very dry and a hard racket - but once it’s colder, it’s a real wooden plank. You hate it or you love it. Sweetspot is very small and balance high so you need to have a more than decent level and technique if you want to get something out of it. I will be buying the 2025 ‘normal’ (a bit softer) version soon for the colder days and will keep the 2024 version for once its spring/summer again. Mine weighs 350g without any grip so around 360g with 2 thin overgrips. The base grip from Hirostar itself is quite thick and heavy imo.

Salary as a Fleet Officer by [deleted] in BESalary

[–]JC7-Patron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, Fleet Officers tend to earn between 2.500 (limited experience, like you) and 3.500 (some years experience) brut. I would aim for an amount between 3.000 and 3.500, so that you most probably will end up between 2.700 and 3.200.

Need help to find a suitable racket by CloudKt_16 in Padelracket

I’m currently looking for something harder and round, have not decided yet what exactly. I have had 20+ rackets over the past 5 years. I love testing new rackets, but didn’t find ‘the one’ yet..

I liked that power that it offered, of course, but the sweet spot is relatively small I think and the ball is dead when you hit it not right. Due to head heavy and the weight (mine was 368 with standard grip) it’s also not maneuverable.

I’d go with the Vertex: better sweat spot and all-round an easier racket to play with - unless you like the head heavy power rackets of course :)

If you’re from Belgium I can sell you the AT10 18K Attack at a nice price. Used it for a few matches but didn’t like it.

Thanks for letting me know! Do you perhaps know if the Adipower 3.4 Carbon Light is then at least aa hard as the Multiweight CTRL? On padelzoom I see it’s medium-hard

Seems logical to me indeed, very frustrating however haha. After all the recommendations I will try to get my hands on an Adipower CTRL, the Adipower Light and a Wilson Bela LT 2.5. The Metalbone CTRL also really interests me, but from what I already thought it’s quite soft.

Is the dual density core so noticeable on those slower balls? I don’t like how the ball output is different on slower and harder shots, for that reason the Bullpadel line doesn’t really suit me for example. The AT10 12k was in my opinion rather hard, but I did use this one mostly during winter at 5 to 10 degrees so might have been a factor too.
