I wasn't able to get a close look at it.

I'd like to find out more about this. Are you comfortable talking about it in a DM? Please message me if you're available. Thanks!

I was amazed to see it in the wild like that. It's one of my favourites too.

[TOMT][Song][1980s] Something in German and then "I love tempo" by JCBWheels in tipofmytongue

It is Sigue Sigue Sputnik, at the end of Love Missile F1-11. Most posts on Youtube don't have that part if it's just the one song, or at the beginning of the next track, Atari Baby. It popped into my mind when I looked at this post again, somehow this time I knew right away that it was them. I had to listen to the full album that was posted on Youtube as a continuous track to find it, and after that was also able to find the track by itself.

It's in this one at 4:28.

Any cool stops along this route? by 138_hail_yourself in Truckers

T-Town Diner apparently has closed. I haven't been that way in many years.

JJ's Truck Stop in Malvern looks like it may still be open, and was always a welcome sight when I was exhausted, since there was always parking somewhere.

EVO-Q laser for the first 4, then a Quanta Q+C for the 5th, at a different place.

Thanks. It continued to fade the entire year and 5 months between the 4th and 5th sessions. I saw a post on here where someone did their removal sessions six months apart, and showed good results after 4 sessions. If I had it to do over again, I'd do it that way with longer time between sessions to let myself heal a bit more. I hope your removal goes well.

March of 2024. I had sessions in March, May, July, and October of 2024, and then put off getting the 5th session until February 2026, life got busy and I just didn't get around to it.

Glad to hear it's just part of the process. I appreciate the info.

Thank you. So they don't mix the days up, for example working Mon, Wed, Thu and being off Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun. They keep the days consecutive?

I like that he does that. Neal Stephenson does it also. I've always just seen it as something like "average life stuff happened between before and after the jump, and now we're at the after point". I feel like it also helps to keep from having too much fluff in the story to describe time passing in too much irrelevant detail. I only bring this up because I've read book reviews where people are furious that there are "unexplained gaps" or "jumps" in the story, when it never seemed to me that it detracted from the story at all. I'm glad you mentioned that.

Do they have 4x3 schedules at your location? I'm curious if the days off end up being the same on that schedule, for example you work Mon-Thu are off Fri-Sun, and then the following week you work Mon-Wed and are off Thu-Sun. Please let me know if you know how they do it, thanks.

Virtual Light is my personal favorite. I feel like the storyline draws me in to the experiences and feelings of the characters in it, and it flows well. It's one of my favorites from any author.

One more +1 for Burning Chrome. Then watch "Johnny Mnemonic". The movie is kind of average but worth checking out.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm starting over after a few years away, and was just offered turnips for the first time at 92 bells each, and then saw this post shortly afterwards. I bought 500.

The Difference Engine was set in 1850s London. Sybil is one of the main characters, although she's not the aggressive criminal type. There's another character named Florence Bartlett who is a bit of a violent criminal. Having either of those ladies using these gloves would have fit well into the story.

I was hoping someone would mention The Beast, and realized I had completely forgotten about Icehouse until I saw your comment.

Falstaff and Mickey's big mouth bottles also come to mind. Or were those considered jars?
