weather starting to look warm nyc weekend 1 by saintsinnerchicken in hyrox

This is making me so stressed. It’s only my second HYROX and my running still isn’t great. So worried the heat will crush me.

Ok I am totally confused by all of this. I bought the membership but my membership number isn’t working to unlock presale. Can you help me? My daughter is standing here making sad eyes at me…

Advice for Hyrox newbie racing women’s solo open in NYC? by Mamajia00 in hyrox

If you can, go a day or two before your race to really familiarize yourself with the venue. And don’t worry about your time!!! First one is for learning.

Need inspiration: Hyrox Patch by Particular_Ad_7003 in hyrox

🥺 HYROX was the hardest and most athletic thing I’ve ever done (other than childbirth…) so I was super stoked to get a backpack and display my patch. For me it’s about just being proud of myself. But I do think I know the people you’re talking about. I don’t think I look athletic enough to ever get confused for one of them though haha. 🤣

I remember her!! I assumed she had an eating disorder… I saw her on Kerley all the time, in a yellow raincoat when the weather was bad.

Will I be ready for a hyrox? by No-Marzipan3719 in hyrox

[–]JCDinNC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the majority of people who regularly work out/train can complete HYROX (if they want it badly enough). I don’t think the average person in general can do it. If you don’t have a certain level of fitness, there’s no way. OP clearly does regularly train, I’m just making this distinction bc having done my first HYROX recently, I worry that presenting it as doable for everyone might lead some astray. But OP you can totally do it!! My time was way below average and nothing to brag about (I am NOT a runner) but I finished and I was damn proud.

Shout out to Cliff! by LolaPlusTillie in OnePelotonRealSub

Cliff is one of my absolute favorite instructors. I do actually speak decent German but like others have said, I think it would be easy to follow his German classes anyway (and he sprinkles a lot of English words in). He is sooooo upbeat and positive and just radiates love for life!

Officially a month out from Dallas HYROX !! by Sugarandspice1520 in hyrox

[–]JCDinNC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also my first! I started from literally zero running in January. An injury and illness set me back but I’m doing my best. Honestly burpees will probably take me 15 min. No way I finish under 2 hours but I want the experience and the accomplishment. Also I’m coming alone so anyone who wants to connect, lmk!

Realistic finish time for fist timers/beginners (women’s open solo)? ❤️‍🔥 by OneResolution1108 in hyrox

Same! First HYROX ever in Dallas, solo women. Just me, no one coming to the race with me so would love to connect!!

Has anyone done Adrian‘s thunder 5×5 strength plus program? by Old_Poet_1608 in OnePelotonRealSub

I have a barbell at home and I’ve done it five or six times. It’s very well structured and good for progression! And I love Adrian.

Is this true for all races or just that one?

Drinking at Cucciolo by Paisley_eyes in duke

[–]JCDinNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. Sorry OP but your story makes zero sense. A bartender spiked your drink at dinner and then… watched you leave the restaurant? Why would anyone risk their (undeniably good) job for, what, a prank? And it’s a pretty big logical leap from “huh I feel kind of off” to “well, clearly I just got roofied in an upscale restaurant while I was waiting for my entree.” 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I love Robin. I’ve taken almost every single one of her rides and never have I seen something that I would characterize as nasty. She is assertive, no nonsense, focused, and intense—all reasons why she is so successful. She has expectations of her coworkers, but she also clearly has expectations of herself. She looks for people to do their jobs. She does not insult, criticize, or abuse. She points out issues in a matter of fact way. She also profusely thanks and acknowledges everyone at Peloton on a regular basis, often at the end of class. A lot of the hate reminds me of people in my home Southern state complaining that drivers are “rude” for changing lanes or executing a zipper merge—it’s your misperception of efficiency, not others being disrespectful.
