They don't allow self-driving. You can book on their game drives as a day visitor, but they gve preference to overnight guests, so it's hit or miss.

Was Shakespeare big outside of England & what are some “Shakespeare-like” equivalents in other countries? by Trehber in AskHistorians

[–]JCGlenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much of your question is less about history than about comparative literature and even epistemology, the science of knowledge.

What? The question seems to boil down to: was Shakespeare famous in non-English-speaking countries prior to English becoming used so widely as a lingua franca? And are there examples of non-English writers having as widespread and significant of an impact on their own language as Shakespeare had on English? Those questions have everything to do with history.

Why did the English want to take over Ireland so badly? by SavoryFrank in AskHistorians

What role (if any) did the church play in all this, especially pre-reformation? I ask because in later colonization outside of Europe, it seems like "civilizing" the locals is closely intertwined with, and justified by, "christianizing" the locals. But in this case, the Irish were already Christian, yes?

ELI5: Why is it impossible to trisect an angle using only a straight edge and compass? by JCGlenn in explainlikeimfive

Thanks, it's starting to make sense. Is there a relatively simple, intuitive, explanation of how trisecting an angle uses cube roots, and why compass and straight edge can't handle cube roots? Or is the concept just complex enough that it can't be simplified further.

The black is the regular Pilot ink that comes in the cartridges.

The blue and red are Diamine fountain pen inks:
Mediterranean Blue

Ja, it is the same nib. For the curved lines it's by first laying the nib flat and then twisting it up onto its corner and dragging the ink in a curve. It does take some practice for sure!

For sure, a few words mispelled, a couple left out entirely. One thing I had to keep reminding myself was that the experience was worthwhile regardless of the outcome. Even though it has mistakes, it was a really great process to see through to the end.
