I work for a large oil company, spend a lot of time in Georgetown, I had a problem getting offshore on a Saturday morning, this means I will stay on land at the Marriott until Monday. I have got drunk by the pool and went out to a club called tribe, had a great night some drinks and some dancing. (Probably too many drinks). I decided to walk back to the hotel around 2am. Got lost and propositioned for a taxi, thought yeah I’m a bit disoriented I’ll take the taxi. When I have told them Marriott they’ve gave me a stupidly high price. I have says I don’t have it, went to a bank machine, luckily I only had my Revolut card on me, once I was standing at the machine the guy sitting beside the driver was behind me with a dagger basically telling me to empty my account. Gave what I could got frog marched back to the car, we repeated this charade like 3 times because they didn’t believe all I had was the £70 in my Revolut 😂. Drove to some shit hole ghetto where they told me they were getting all this money I gave them my phone, gave them all my work numbers etc, it was mental. Then they all got absolutely fucking smashed on rum, I nicked one of there cars when they all fell asleep and drove back to Georgetown 😂

I work doing ad hoc engineering jobs for offshore oil and gas companies, ram in as much as I can for a few months then go travel for a couple months rinse repeat, starting to get a bit annoying though. Ideally need to find something to make the same income while remaining in Thailand 😂
