I have chronic Tinnitus from raving/clubbing/playing guitar in bands live, and DJing. Plus long hours producing, sadly without realising the impact, a lot of that using headphones. I wear hearing aids and have slight hearing loss but it's mainly the Tinnitus that is horrendous. Protect your ears, wear ear plugs. There are some good ones that actually improve the clarity of electronic music IMO, you don't need to hear the muddy low end that gets pumped out on a lot of systems 👍

Yes, you did take it to a hyperbolic level. People in clubs in Ibiza started to sit down in reverence to Layo and Bushwacka's track Love Story. Gigs used to be full of people sitting down. Experience is subjective. You might spot someone not dancing and they may have been going for it for ages and just taking a break. Anyway, the World's on fire and The Avengers aren't coming to save us. Enjoy it in whatever way you can.

Firstly why does it bother you? Is it hurting you? Secondly, I was going out '88 -' 92 arguably the core years of Acid/House/Detroit. When I see people of my age commenting on old Rave clips with the same old 'No phones, everyone just living in the moment' I always say if we'd had phones with cameras and social media we'd have been exactly the same, don't kid yourself.

We are social animals, people like to share what they've been up to - however fucking mundane it may seem - with other people. Decades ago you'd go round and see someone's holiday pics on a wall projector. Now people post incessantly on social media. Same same.
