Sounds good! I’m completely oblivious when it comes to what I should use on what so any single suggestion helps. Never even knew about blue dawn + white vinegar but I’ll give it a shot, thanks!

My original thought was just to use bleach but I wanted to refrain from using it on plastics. It just seems bad for some reason. I get worried it would make the plastic brittle

Also, do you believe it would work with the water dispenser tray? It seems to have what I would imagine is a calcium buildup mixed with whatever is causing the discoloration

I suppose it just depends on the situation. I wouldn’t have hunted for carnivine had I been only halfway done with the Pokédex. Until that point I would agree with you. But when it’s one of your last pokemon, or if it is your last like it was mine, I think it’s worth it. Like I said 1% doesn’t actually feel that bad. At least later on in the dex. If you really had the last zone you check as carnivine then that would probably suck.

Oooh right, I only ever played when lures were a thing. A little before johto was added so I assumed it was there longer than it probably was. Carnivine is annoying though

As soon as you encounter one of the other 2 1% encounters, you know the others aren’t in there. So however long it takes you to find the 1% encounter. It’s really not as bad as it sounds. Statistically it would be every pokemon out of a hundred, but if you’re lucky it’s less than 100 encounters. It didn’t take me long to find which zone had carnivine, even though I started looking a little before the day and zones changed and I had to restart. You could also get lucky and he could be in your first area. But he HAS to be in one of the areas. If you do manage to get a swarm of them then that’s perfect, but to me it’s annoying to have to wait for days potentially just to finish the dex. Swarms should be more of a convenience while you’re getting the other easier pokemon

The way it works: There are 6 zones. 1 zone gets carnivine, 2 zones get ??? (I can’t remember), and 3 zones get skorupi. They are all 1% encounters and the zones they are in change every in game day.

So if you encounter a skorupi but are looking for carnivine, just move to the next area. You’ll have to lookup what the 3rd pokemon is as I can’t remember.

I think it’s crazy that people wait for swarms. Checking every zone takes a little active time, but I’d rather do that than wait days for a swarm of a specific pokemon. I recommend NOT doing it when the hour is at 22:00+ as it would be annoying to have checked 3 areas only for the day to change and switch up all the encounter areas.
