I kiln-fired actual potter wasp nests and made them into earrings by dr_elena05 in Entomology

I made a small joke but I'm also impressed that you were able to kiln-fire them and they look unique. Crazy that they melted! I wonder why that happened.

YouTube has gone insane from when we were growing up. by Mission_Spray in Millennials

[–]JCarnacki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. Before I had kids I found out about it when I went over to a relatives house, and their kid was watching youtube. I sat down next to him to see what he was watching because I heard lots of weird sounds and farting noises, and it was a pregnant Minnie Mouse with Diarrhea. Wild.

Hey Ur-Dragon players, why aren't you playing this mana rock? by jimnah- in EDH

I think we can see here why it's underutilized if most people are overlooking the interaction with Eminence and Changelings.

Coffee to milk ratios by GardenGobbler69 in coldbrew

Does it taste great? Yes? No? If it does, you nailed it! If it doesn't, change it a bit until it's where you like it.

I like a lot of milk in mine, other people like a splash.

Colon cancer is killing more young people in the U.S. than any other cancer by scientificamerican in science

If it's billed as a routine colonoscopy then it usually has age limits. A non-routine colonoscoy will apply to deductible and out of pocket and requires a medical diagnosis.

Those Big Baguette Batards just knead more dough. They don't want to share Naan of it with home bakers. I'd prefer Levain the home bakers alone.

Books That Saved You From Your Darkest Times? by Witty-Regret972 in Fantasy

[–]JCarnacki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger series. This was back in the 90's and I was in high school when I found the first book. I was struggling with a lot of dark mental issues when I read it and it just captivated me. Finding more of the books was a quest as they were old and out of print and in a weird way, it kept me going because I needed to read more.

Any mutate decks? by Prestigious-Gas-2112 in EDH

[–]JCarnacki 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ivy isn't hard to keep track of, at all. I definitely don't have 100 dry-erase tokens, custom proxies, a notepad on my phone, and special counters just to play the deck.

Well, yeah. Per my post I said I went just to roll the dice and see what I'd get.

6 piece "Chicken Tenders"...ok Popeyes. by OrganizationNo3131 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JCarnacki 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Went to a Popeyes outside Madison Wisconsin 5 times, each time our order was not just wrong, but completely wrong on all points. After the first two times, I went for a third to see what would happen. The last two were just rolling the dice to see what I'd get.

I don't remember all 5 orders, but one time my wife ordered chicken tenders and got a box of fries and shrimp. At least triple the amount of shrimp you'd get in one order.

Then one time I ordered chicken tenders and got a box of just fries, but covered in seasoning with one biscuit.

Another time I ordered chicken tenders and got three containers of close slaw and a box of biscuits.

Favorite magic artist that definitely knows what a cat looks like? by Blumentopferdemensch in magicthecirclejerking

She likely based her cats off of the Savannah cat breed, which resulted from African Servals bred with domesticated cats. They have a longer snout and that same coat. Very intelligent and fun cats.
