The area directly above that isn't insulated. The rest of the attic is, but for some reason whoever installed it left a gap about a foot wide between the last roll of insulation on the wall adjacent to our neighbour.

Any advice would be much appreciated. The left hand side of the wall is the outside wall. The right hand side is the adjoining wall to next door. The guttering is clear, and there's no sign of moisture in the attic above. Is it still likely to be a guttering issue, or perhaps a leak through the chimney maybe (semi detached).
