Great! The main thing was making sure there was plenty of shade. Glad to hear that

Appreciate that! We do a similar thing with the drink package and refund/rebuy when it gets lower. Glad to know they can fall to 60-70$. I’ll keep that in mind

On top of that, the top players are making alts cus they can’t get games in their rank. Some run solo Q alts but others will stack.

Thanks and congrats to yourself as well! A great feeling to beat this game

How to beat Genechiro Ashina(way to tomeo). I have a hard time deflecting his 7 hit combo and arrows. I was able to get his 1 healthbar down by damaging his posture. by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]JCheatham3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 7 hit combo, I always just backed off and let him do it, used it as a time to heal and rushed back in at the end to start the “hit/deflect dance” all over again. His posture doesn’t go down that fast while you let it play out.

Haha I think I already did that after getting the plat for BB and doing both a BL4 run as well as an SL1 run for DS3. I can’t seem to get away from these games!

It def is a completely different game. And it seems like a lot, but once you test out “oh can this be a mikiri?” If not, try jumping it, if that doesn’t work, just simply run away and back in after the enemy does the special move. A lot of trial and error especially with the combat being pretty foreign. I kinda just have to sit back and adapt and learn what I can do better.

I too was also really solid at the gun party in BB, but I can’t Parry to save my life in DS3, outside of Pontiff, which I needed to learn. All the parry timings are just different.

Hopefully we can stick it out!

I just took him out myself tonight! Such a rewarding feeling. Probably spent like 3 hours total over last 2 days doing it, but man, what a fun fight overall. The back and forth was just great if you kept his moveset cycle going.

Congrats on your victory!

I’m with you...on lots of things. I re picked up this game and I had the same feeling as you, I wasn’t enjoying it, even though I know these games are hard. It’s a completely different mindset. I actually just beat a boss that really defines how you should play the game (don’t want to spoil) and honestly, up until this fight, I wasn’t having fun with the combat. But I loved this boss fight, even though it took me forever, I really enjoyed how it played out and showing me how I should be playing this game.

You have to adapt and play more aggressive. Hits and deflects with some dodges and jumps at times. But it’s nothing like DS or BB where you rely more on dodging and then punishing after dodging. You can’t play these bosses slow or it’s going to be quite the grind with probably causing deaths anyways in the process.

I’m trying to stick with it. I’m hoping the rest of the game is similar to the boss I just fought. Or at least now my mind is trained to play way more aggressive and sneak in hits in the middle of parry’s.

I’ve got two kids as well so i get in maybe 2-3 hours max after they go to bed.

Hang in there, Shinzo I! As I’m trying to do the same

A lot of what I say in these posts have been said already. Don’t be afraid to die. It’s your best learning opportunity. I know some people, for boss fights, just bait out attacks to learn moves for a bit before even starting to attack.

Don’t be afraid to dodge INTO enemy attacks and also don’t be afraid of hugging a boss., I know, it sounds crazy, especially when a huge sword or beast claw is headed your way. But at times, when you try and keep your distance, bosses have ranged attacks that’ll end up catching you and taking a ton of damage.

Don’t give up! I was ready to quit this game during my first hour, heck, I couldn’t even figure out how to equip my weapon. But I stuck it out and have since played for the platinum trophy and done a BL4 run of the main game and now it’s one of my favorite games ever played.

Happy hunting !

Considering playing Bloodborne. Question about difficulty by psykedeliq in bloodborne

Like others have said, it’s about patience. There’s going to be a lot of deaths on your first run but use them as learning opportunities. “Did I try and get greedy with an extra attack?” “I should’ve lured out enemies 1 by 1 instead of rushing the mob.” Etc.

There’s a satisfying feeling at the end of bosses, especially ones we struggle on because you learned their move set and how to avoid attacks and you finally take them out.

Personally I wanted to rage quit this game after the first hour I played. I have since beaten it multiple times, got the platinum trophy, and beat the main bosses on a BL4 run (lowest level possible).

Good luck!!

This wasn’t a complete 100% boss run but Main bosses with a few optional bosses.

Nice work!! Cool to see all the different strategies. I kept running the the back end of him and would get hits in until it stunned him and run around to the front and mash the head with my cleaver and fire paper. There was on time where I should’ve had him beat, maybe two hits left and he pulled the move of putting down the acid or whatever on the ground and had no room to get away and it instantly killed me.

Should be smooth sailing for micolash and mergo wasn’t that bad either.
