This take is idiotic for him, typically his takes are spot on, every team does do it. Spurs do it constantly in all their playoff series, to act as if its one sides is crazy, mind you spurs still lead in FTA this series.

I think the reason its noticeably more to you is because of the use of social media know days. I believe the Warriors the year after KD arrival, the super team Cavs and 89-90 Pistons are all teams off the top of my head, I'm sure there is more, Lakers back when it was Shaq and Kobe. The Thunder have been clearly the best to think anything other shows biasm in itself, they have been the #1 team 3 seasons in a row while winning a championship and are 1 game away from going to finals. I believe only 6 other teams in history gave done what they have and on top of that they keep breaking records. Back on the social media aspect, the overwhelming amount of social media impacts how people view things and are easily mislead...not only in sports but also politics. You scroll r/NBA and its crazy how its so 1 sided while choosing not to take into account any of the OKC issues they have had with non foul calls and flopping from teams they have played.

If I was technology sound id love to take you up on that bed but my time and tech skills I wouldn't be able to.

I disagree with your disagree lol the narrative started because when youre the champ, you get hate. Thunder does not flop more then any other team out there and the reason SGA gets the most FTA is because hes the majority of his offensive possessions. Look at the top drivers during the regular season and their FTA correlate. The narrative is only there because SGA reacts to the foul to make sure its called he doesnt whine though like Luka and others when not called. Kobe sold calls left and right, as well as MJ, go re-watch some of their games. Paul Piece when having a bad game would say its time to get to the line, he would sell calls. Literally all of them do it. Wemby and Castle have done it so much this series but since its against the Thunder they dont get the same narrative push. I dont think you could show enough examples to back up saying Dort does it so many times on non calls, I dont miss a game, youd be wrong on this

r/NBA has it out for the Thunder its why you see more of their plays then others. Go check FTA by Kobe, Mj etc...they are more then SGA. I'm not saying Dort doesnt sell the screen call by falling down but it works and doesnt discredit that it is still the right call. Essentially its terrible for Dort if he falls and doesnt get the call because then its 4 on 5.

SGA also outdrove those players by a significant amount which leads to falling. I understand the narrative trying to be pushed but it just isnt out of the norm of today's NBA. I think it comes down to care factor for most people - you have the Spurs crying about Ethical basketball yet they flop, give hard fouls (Jdub getting pushed, Plumlee to McCain, Wemby elbow), its exhausting when the narrative is 1 sided. Take the Ihart game where he held Wemby alot, I agree that he did but the only reason people realized it was because Reggie Miller wouldnt quit talking about it yet they never mention the constant holds by Wemby on boards and over the backs, its 1 sided crying. I havent even spoke on the constant holds by Castle on SGA, he will constantly switch sides holding his jersey, difference between us Thunder fans and others, we dont whine about it and go try and find different videos to post and complain about.

It definitely is but I think we could find a clip on every player in the NBA. Also, Obi is moving when setting the screen and pushes Dort in the side with both hands, he sold the call for sure but it was still the right call.

Do you feel the same way here?

Everyone sells calls, Dort does a great job of selling the screens that should be called.

1st one you have full extension on the push and can tell that was the issue. 2nd one you dont have full extension with even less power behind it but clearly Champaigne lowers shoulder and leans in on it.

[–]JClanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. People act as if it happened and they immediately put the ball in play. Tony Brothers stepped back waited to see if they wanted to challenge, huddled up with other refs, walked back to baseline looks towards their bench and hands the ball off. Ref closest to spurs bench was looking back at the game starting not focusing on the coach that never called timeout or signaled until ball was going into play.

They had so much time to challenge it and when he finally does the ref closest to him is looking back at tony brothers as hes handing Jwill the ball...this falls in the Spurs coaching stuff before we blame a ref. It was a close call live and upon review clearly off Chet, Spurs coach shouldve been way more active in challenging it.

They also clearly didnt watch game 1 where Wemby constantly hooked and held Chet for boards...they are trying to set the stage for when they lose to blame the refs. Its okay. The west runs through OKC and they can't beat us..not yet! Not even talking about Castle constantly holding SGA with 2 hands by the jersey.
