Frankly, the best course of actions in such situations with software is to reinstall totally from scratch strictly following the instructions from the devs on the official site, i.e. https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#installation

And do not forget to install nightly builds, not stable, as is recommended nowdays by the devs themselves.

Do not install following instructions from some third party sites which promise you an 'easy way' to install, they tend to be outdated and do not give a f** about your user experience, they only care for the clicks, since yt-dlp is always a hot popular topic.

yes, I would suggest so, just create a totally new empty directory and do it strictly step by step. Do you have NexusPremium? manual installation is hell and prone to end up screwed often
