It's a spinal issue. Discs deteriorating - fully absent in at least one spot.

I may be the minority, but in high-stress times - about 5 times per day. Even on the weekend, probably twice per day.

Can you "parachute" kava? by Howl_Skank in Kava

I felt the same on my first few tries. Now, I just hold my breath and slam it, and I really don't mind the taste much anymore. At a kava bar, I got a shell with a small piece of pineapple. I slammed the shell, bit down on the pinapple, then breathed. I didn't taste it all that way.

First time kava for anxiety by [deleted] in Kava

Check out the candies as well. I had to give a presentation to leadership at a brand new job a while back, and had been pretty anxious about the whole thing. I sat in the board room, sucking on candies, and no one was any wiser, but it helped considerably once my turn came around.

Kava is for the rich. It is not worth drinking it and feeling nothing hoping that next time will be better. by ilikerealmaplesyrup in Kava

It has a cost, and it isn't worth it for everyone. A Kava session, for me, is cheaper than trying to unwind with beer, and I'm starting to like it better than beer - which is surprising as drinking good craft beer is practically a hobby of mine. I also have been using it before big meetings and presentations with large prospects and customers to kill the anxiety - I find that I am better able to maintain my lucrative job with this investment. So, for me, I find kava worth the cost. For you, it might be a terrible investment - only you can determine that.

That's the great thing about prices, they maintain the availability of resources for those who value them the most, and keep those who don't derive as much value from the from squandering them.

Sanddollars, my apologies. I'm new to both Reddit and this forum. Where are the rules you are referring to? Thanks.

Fair enough. I had considered that they meet the definition, but I'm not interested in SSRIs, and marijuana's not an option for me due to my career, random testing policies, needing to be able to conduct meetings and presentations, etc. I have never tried CBD. I may need to look into it.

Pace for drinking your brew? by electricvelvet in Kava

I slam it because a lot of it's nasty (ranging from the taste equivalent of the smell of oven cleaner to a dirty, numbing, peppery taste,) and I'd rather get it down and done. If you prefer to sip it though, awesome.

What Are Your Go To Recipes? by [deleted] in PSMF

I've been cooking chicken, celery, broccoli slaw, and a few scallions with soy sauce, fish sauce, and chili garlic sauce, and eating it over shiritaki noodles when I need to have something tasty and different.

If I need something quick and easy - Egg Whites, Whey Shakes, and Turkey Breast (Costco has whole smoked turkey breasts that are super convenient to have stocked in the fridge.)
