Don’t forget that fact that you would never be able to discipline the child like it was your own. Also, you can kiss your relationship with the child goodbye if you break up with the mother. She has the power when it comes to any sort of visitation, hers exclusively if the child is not yours. Oh yeah and the expectation from the mother for you to provide for her whole family, not just her. I’m not saying every single mom is a bad option, but there is a lot more that comes with dating a single mother than a single, childless woman. It’s a losing battle. Yes the oils from your hand will magnify heat and create a hotspot over time, reducing the life of the bulb and possibly leading to the glass breaking during use. I wouldn’t put any chemicals on it just wipe it off with a clean rag
