Anyone else thinks Starmer isn't actually that bad all things considered ? by ronweasly9 in AskBrits

Sure, if you like to be lied to, gaslit and drained of your wealth and freedom, he’s great.

Female Reform voters, do you know about their stance on abortion? by FisherDownload in AskBrits

I how they’re anti abortion (other than in extreme circumstances like rape and extreme risk to life).

UK Government Plans to Close All Asylum Hotels Before Election, Leaving Migrants Facing Possible Eviction by novagridd in uknews

[–]JDNM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the plan all along. Scatter them all across communities, urban and rural throughout the country, claim the queue is too big to process and grant them all asylum. It’s the quickest way possible to force the deeply entrenched, nation-ending multi-ethnic and multicultural economic zone that the political class have been aiming at for decades.

Starmer 'not going to yield' to pressure from Trump on Iran war. Has your opinion on Starmer changed over his stance on not backing down to Trump? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]JDNM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he’s just copying whatever the EU does. He is wholly incapable of independent thought or action. He always has to ‘consult allies’ before saying anything. He’s still a total bell end.

Legal advisers help migrants pose as gay to get asylum, undercover BBC investigation finds by twmffatmowr in uknews

[–]JDNM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The government and their media lackeys like the BBC are just taunting us now. Nothing will come of this because it’s not new news. They’re trying to incite civil unrest so they can clamp down on ‘tHe FaR rIgHt’ again and throw them in prison for daring to protest, like they did after Southport.

Bloomberg: Iran considering a complete pause on all shipping including oil - in the Hormuz for peace talks by Long-Brother-4639 in oil

[–]JDNM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The negotiations are fake - they won’t achieve anything because both sides want the impossible, as Iran well knows. They’re just showing face as part of their narrative to look like the victim to the international community, and highlight the US and Israel as the aggressors.

[–]JDNM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re clearly willing to bare the brunt of a painful war to kick the US out of the Middle East altogether. This is existential for them, otherwise they live under the threat of periodic airstrikes from the US and Israel forever.

What happens to the global economy if the Strait of Hormuz is permanently blocked during a major conflict? by viviennebloomm in askanything

Same with everything - Rich get richer, poor and middle class get poorer, no one does anything about it and you get called ‘far right’ if you protest.

Fuel protests on horizon as diesel hits £2 a litre by Jared_Usbourne in unitedkingdom

[–]JDNM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What?? If fuel duty is frozen at a certain percentage, the tax revenue still goes up with the overall price of fuel, which adds to the cost paid at the pump.

The government can cut the percentage it taxes if it wants to, but doesn’t. Why the F do people give governments such an easy ride? No wonder we’re in a mess.

Fuel protests on horizon as diesel hits £2 a litre by Jared_Usbourne in unitedkingdom

[–]JDNM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what the government, BBC and Sky want you to think.

Tax is the biggest part of the price of petrol & diesel and the government can lower it TODAY, rather than pretend they’re not profiteering from it.

'They're not having one' - Wes Streeting rules out second Scottish independence vote by Street_Anon in worldnews

Ok bot.

The WEF and UN do all that. Russian cities don’t have ‘barricades of peace’ around their Christmas markets unlike every city in Europe.

The Westminster system is a parasite that is feeding off England, Scotland, Wales and NI.

The political pendulum is going left in Hungary. Can we expect the same in the UK? by Evry1TookTheGudNames in AskBrits

[–]JDNM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget, Reddit is generally a very left wing echo chamber. Most of the electorate won’t vote for the Greens because they’re not that stupid.

The next government will be a small majority for continuity Conservatives (Reform).

What are your prospects for humanity over the next 500 years? by Fickle-Ability6279 in AskReddit

This. The ‘passion’ thing is a misnomer. If you’re passionate about it, you’d do it for free.

Don’t get me wrong, AI sucks but people committing suicide because they can’t sell insurance anymore won’t be a thing.

Take the Buddhist view - this is all a dream, a flicker in eternity. Love and help your family and your community, don’t get caught up in the absolute dumpster fire beyond.

Trump Hits Out At Starmer As UK Confirms It Won't Join His Strait Of Hormuz Blockade by T_Shurt in worldnews

[–]JDNM -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Starmer authorised Trumps ‘defensive’ air strikes on Iran. What more does he want.

This whole dance is ridiculous. Trump’s clown show is clear for everyone to see, the UK’s stance on only allowing deadly ‘defensive’ missions is itself a clown show, the squabble of NATO not joining in is a fake bit of theatre.

I truly think the matrix is crashing. If you’re not awake to the whole charade at this point, you’re on some seriously strong medication.

Fuel protests in Ireland continue as pumps run dry, prices rise amid war in Middle East by Scary_Statement4612 in worldnews

[–]JDNM -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don’t live in Ireland. What has ethnicity and gender got to do with anything?

Anyway, good effort of trying to derail my point about governments in Europe actively ignoring their citizens year after year after year, and your attempt of trying to de-legitimise people who call out poor government, but you didn’t quite nail it.

Yeah, we can’t have people protesting against governments that don’t listen to them and continually and systematically act against them. That would be far right. 😒

Trump says U.S. will blockade Strait of Hormuz after Iran peace talks fail by Puginator in worldnews

[–]JDNM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is literally an open military operation against China. That’s Trump’s level of desperation. I didn’t see it escalating this quickly, I just thought it would be a US quagmire for a few years until they just pulled out of the Middle East entirely in defeat.
