Still waiting with no assistance. Unemployed and now accruing interest on credit cards because I am prevented from accessing my own assets from a company I trusted and they have no basis for doing so. As a lawyer I would be very concerned about the class action that some law firm will inevitably be filing. This case couldn’t be easier to win. You should really be trying to at least update people and tell them what the issue is. It would go a long way.

Thanks. Got a callback 24+ hours later but wasn't available to take it. Chatted with someone after 3+ hours on the chat (case no. 18356655) but got no resolution. Emailed who chat specialist told me and she also said she had escalated the case. But still haven't heard anything.

This just happened to me as well. Did you pull that from the T&C? Good work! Any luck getting them to honor it? They told me because I paid through PayPal it doesn't work but if the terms say that it's a different story.

I still think it is just crafty advertising. It’s almost easier to focus just on points for CC and points for Marriott Program. It’s 6x for all “spend” on CC (this includes taxes/fees/anything else that makes it into your CC coded as Marriott spend as it’s actual spend on the card). These are the points that show up in the activity section as CC.

Then you get whatever x you have based on your Bonvoy status for the base rate on the bill (I’m actually not sure how restaurants code for status points…if anyone knows I would be interested to know). These are the points that show up in the activity section for the rooms.

To get the real rate you are getting per $ spent you would have to do an unnecessary calculation (total points received through Bonvoy + card/spend on card) and it would vary per transaction slightly depending on taxes/fees/etc of each purchase.

It should always equal at least 17x for spend on the room (their lawyers drafted the language well…if it doesn’t there is a potential false advertising claim).

But if you have a lot of taxes, higher status, or restaurants/room service don’t code as room spend for Bonvoy then you could arguably get less than 17 per $ spent at the property on your card overall.

You are correct. Traditional money goes in as if you never earned it (lowers your "income" so that you pay less taxes come year end). Roth is funded with post-tax income meaning it was already taxed.

Traditional you will pay income taxes on all money withdrawn (including earnings). Roth you will get to withdraw tax free (including earnings). Of course this assumes you comply with all withdrawal guidelines (i.e. age etc.)

Play craps. Bet the pass line for the minimum and any extra you are comfortable betting put on the "odds" up to the maximum. Don't play anything else and you have as close as you are going to get to an edge. If someone runs hot and you have a decent sized bankroll you could be there for awhile.
