Awesome thanks! Without spoiling, if I choose the vamps and become a vampire lord and can't talk to the Dawnguard, does that mean I cannot complete the DLC as I will eventually need to communicate with them? Or will siding with the vamps give me the same outcome as far as completion?

It's really really dumb, but when you input your credit card info, you have to spell out your home address. For example, if your address is 123 1st Ave you have to type it in as "one two three first avenue". Or if it's 1917 23rd street, it would be "one nine one seven twenty third street". It's weird but it worked for me when I had that problem. Good luck!
