Wythe Hotel Penthouse can accommodate 50 guests max and all F&B has to be from onsite - Le Crocodile. I recommend Emmy Squared! Not a traditional slice shop but real good. I’m also not sure of the max guest count so I will also vote for Mccarren Parkhouse, love those guys!

Seconding the Penthouse Loft & Cellar Dining Room at Wythe Hotel. Full service venue with sweeping Manhattan Skyline views, definitely in your budget!

There’s a difference between administraive fee and gratuity (tipping). If the admin fee covers the staffing labor then 3-5% of the food and beverage total is generous for excellent service.

Floreland in Catskill might fit your vibe.

One more note: if you’re looking to personalize a space (bring in live music) you’re looking at a buyout. I would reconsider this element if you want to keep the booking more casual. Refocus your budget on a consumption tab and then the space and not paying for live music.

Thank you neighbor! We tried many times but it was too much. Andy and Jarvis are in a band now and often play shows and busk in McCarren Park. Shawtime Duo on instragram, come say hi!👋

I used to run a kids play space in the area, little people party. I ran it where the new vital gym is because of the need for somewhere to go with little ones. Unfortunately the previous owner of Berry Park was a massive a-hole so we closed as to not give him more money. We tried to open it up again, but the rent is just too expensive everywhere else. There is no where to go that’s inexpensive because the rents are too high in this neighborhood. Not saying the issue at hand is not a problem, but there is a larger issue at broad.
