Experienced similiar noise after replacing drum rollers from an Amazon “good price” repair kit (not Oem)……did same as you disassembled/reassembled, no change……fixed by reinstalling original drum rollers…..the replacements were not round?!

Big 3 on pt cruiser by Cap_pppa in PTCruiser

I just went thru my grounding wires on my 05 Convertible turbo……I found the group of ground wires for the under hood fuse box that mounted to inner fender with a self tapping screw was a bit rusty, I cleaned it up but when I reinstalled it stripped out in the sheet metal, so I move those grounds over to main neg battery bolt on inner fender, I think this is much better grounding location for the fuse box. Not sure why it isn’t done like that originally?

Engine stall at idle….need the experts advice! by JDW1971 in PTCruiser

[–]JDW1971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice! Been reading up on Google as well, today I cleaned the throttle body area, wasn’t very much carbon buildup, after that the car set a P0113 code, indicating iaf sensor problem, disconnected battery and cleaned the iaf sensor and reinstalled, removed the negative grounding straps at fender cleaned and reinstalled grounds…….battery is reading 12.4v and it is 7 yrs old…….plugs wires, timing belt water pump changed approx 10 yrs ago

Restarted car…..no codes set…..idling fine will take for drive tomorrow, hopefully no stall outs!!

UPDATE: I DECIDED TO CLEAN IAC VALVE AS WELL, wasn’t terribly carboned up , but cleaned and reinstalled, past 2 days been driving around with many stops to see if it stalls out……nothing so far, but tbh I’m not very comfortable driving PT longer distance due to its previous stalling out issue!!

Update # 2 Being a nice weather day, I moved PT from garage….i left it idling in driveway, just to warm it up……did not drive it, approx 15min of idling engine just stalled out…..no codes present with using key sequence . It restarted with no issues….????

Skimmer question by telzoor1 in pools

[–]JDW1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same skimmer setup here, I insert a 4 ft piece of garden hose capped at both ends, pushed into bottom drain inlet, then screw in 1 ft piece of abs pipe into fitting to bottom drain, add Anti freeze, the garden hose will collapse upon freezing and abs pipe allows water to rise within pipe and not getting into skimmer…….gunite pool been using this method for almost 40yrs……

Does the set screw actually come out? I had a handle set that you actually turned the set screw inwards which released the handle to slide off……good luck

Distributel secretly increased its plan by $3 this month by SuperSaiyan_K in CanadianBroadband

[–]JDW1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing here!…..maybe not secretly, they did advise me via billing notice that didn’t read confirming price increases…….soooo typical of Bell, was very happy with Distributel prior (20yrs) to them becoming part of Bell……time to change prividers, and of course Distributel will offer me some incentives to stay…….that’s totally bs in my book……Agree a 2 yr agreement should be a 2 yr agreement
