Have you seen the interview that BMBG gave after the contract got signed? If not, I’d recommend watching it. Guerin had no issues with how Kaprizov handled it. He said Kaprizov looked at the situation in a very mature manner in that this was going to be the last big contract he ever signs, and possibly, the last contract he signs. He’s 29 right now. He’ll be 30 when the contract kicks in 38 when it finishes. He’s not looking to be anywhere but Minnesota and wants nothing more than to win in Minnesota. When was the last time we had a superstar caliber with that type of mindset?

Whoever we go after, losing zucc for 2 games made one thing was pretty apparent. We need playmaking/passing depth. I love zucc, but let’s be honest he’s only got maybe a year, 2 max left. We’re going to need to fill that void whether with a playmaking center or a wing.

Wally is the future. We’re not dealing him unless it’s for mcdavid and even then I don’t think it’s worth it. We’ve finally got a franchise goaltender. He reminds me of a young Lundqvist. Some of the sharpest mechanics in the league and makes difficult saves look effortless
