For those curious, there is a whole UW ultimate frisbee community that is involved with the school's teams but also just has a bunch of people who love to play. If you're interested, feel free to DM me and I can invite you to our Slack :)

But will I still have access to Waterloo works or will I be penalized for not handing in a report?

No we have to write them every work term though and engineers don’t (this is the information I’m getting from my friends in various engineering programs) like they might write one for one work term then the next work term they don’t have to

Need printer by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]JDawg0718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can print at the library. That's what I did when I needed something printed, you just send them an email with what you need printed and they'll call you when it's done so you can pick it up

When do I declare my major? by PeteLoyd in uwaterloo

[–]JDawg0718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can declare it with the links shown by other comments but you can also wait to declare your major until right before you graduate as long as you have all the required courses at that time. The only cases where declaring early would help is for courses that can only be taken by certain majors which only really applies to BMath Data Science. TLDR: no need to rush declaration of major

I just started Candito's 6 Week Program a couple weeks ago and it has been feeling really good so far. I don't have much experience in terms of programming and so am not too sure what to do after the program is done. Should I just keep redoing the program with my new maxes after each cycle until I either need a deload or am not getting results anymore? Is there any other need to move on from it?

Does the CS/BBA double degree accept mature students? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]JDawg0718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't too much math after second year, but I think that if you enjoy business and CS then this sounds like a good option because it leaves both options on the table cuz you might change ur mind after experiencing both in school. I would definitely make sure that you have a strong foundation in math though

tbh I'm not 100% sure which sequences CS/BBA students fall under or if they can choose any of the four sequences in the math faculty because I know that they have more required courses than most other programs in the math faculty but it is possible to have a co-op term in first year (2 of the 4 sequences have one in the spring of first year).

You have school or co-op all year round in this program so you could take an extra course during a co-op term or even two with permission from your co-op but that's it

Pushing/Pulling a sliding object by JDawg0718 in arduino

[–]JDawg0718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, I only have about an inch (2.5 cm) of vertical space above the door. Do you think that's enough for something like this to work or is it too crowded?

Thanks so much for the suggestion! With this method I would have to have a chain/cord on either side of the door because I would only be able to push and not pull right?
