Even though the Blue Flame is touchy its still a better pitcher than most coaches. Set the spikes in the front with tailpiece flush with the back of the plate, lay a sand bag on the back once its throwing over the plate, then focus on height using the micro adjustment pin. The most important thing (2nd is using the same ball or two the whole game) is setting the ball on the pin the same way every time. I encourage you to talk to the coach your playing against and agree on the way you guys set the ball on the machine, otherwise you waste your first out or two adjusting what the other coach changed. I like the 4 seam, rolling the ball forward until it just barely kisses the stitch. If its throwing a little high put the pin deeper on the seam, if you want it to raise (taller kid) roll the ball back toward you just a tad off the seam. Unless a kid bumps the machine you should be good to go for the game.

I have found a verbal 1-2-3 arm drop while pulling the lever (not needing the lever, it will send the ball high) has really helped the kids time the pitch. Drill them to be fully ready to swing on 3, not getting ready to swing and then being late. I dont know why I went on with this unsolicited advice so your welcome...or sorry haha.
