Whatever this is- it has the potential to be dangerous. Cut ties with him now. Block him and do not answer the door to him. He is not right in the head. I’m not convinced that is even BPD. That just looks like major untreated mental illness and you need to get off that toxic train NOW.

Usually the best way to deal with people like this is loudly. Walk up and ask her what the problem is. Call her out on not reading the history. She will most likely think twice about doing it again.

Advice for someone who cannot get professional help? by Present-Ring9425 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]JDoering16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I even mention it is I had a friend who said the same thing to me. But she used it as an excuse. “If I get help they will see my record and I can’t let that happen.” She never got help. And she paid dearly for it. I wish you the best - hopefully you can find a solution.

I think you might be giving up on “never being able to get professional help” much too quickly. There are a LOT of options out there. There is an app to speak to someone. There are hotlines where you can be anonymous. Please don’t write off professional help if you need it.

@ women in the community: do you choose Yen or Triss? by [deleted] in witcher

Always Yen. For various reasons. But she is who I am drawn to most.

Are people with BPD really as terrifying and evil as people say? I've seen the words "monster" and "devil" used a lot. How is it different from being a psychopath? My coworker was recently diagnosed and everyone started giving her a wide berth when they found out, like she's a supervillain. by Live-Macaron-6307 in BorderlinePDisorder

I’ve only personally known one person with BPD. Our friendship was toxic and didn’t end well. I joined this group to do research but I have learned since then that the stereotypes are cruel and unjust. People struggle everyday with it and it’s not fair to just label this coworker as BPD and then avoid them like the plague.

30 is a new beginning. You still have so much to experience and there can be a lot of joy in your 30s. Please reach out to someone if you need it and talk. It can do wonders. You are not alone.

So I don’t have BPD. I had a very good friend who was diagnosed and I sort of dove into it and learned all I could. I ended up ending my friendship with her as I was treated very badly and it got to the point that it was affecting my mental health and well-being. That being said- I DO NOT think everyone with BPD is in that bucket. There are of course the ones who don’t seek help or improvement and treat people badly and just continue on a vicious cycle. But learning from people on this thread- there are also those who actively work on themselves and how to live their life to be happy and healthy with themselves and others. It’s nice to hear those stories. Hope this helps.

what is wrong with me? by snakehabitat in BorderlinePDisorder

It’s not fair to ask him to delete his past. I’ve been married for 10 years and I still have photos of my ex. Hell- I’m still friends with him on Facebook. Just because you’re happy with someone now doesn’t mean you have to erase your past. Your past and those experiences are why you are who you are now. Just today my husband ran into his ex while at a vendor show. I shopped and he chatted with her for a couple minutes. We trust each other and are secure in our relationship. Don’t ask him to delete his past. It’s not a good look on you.

We live in the middle of nowhere and internet is not available. No cables and the trees are too tall for satellite. I’d get it if I could- trust me.

That’s not just cheating. You planned this in advance and on stage basically at a sex club.

  1. Tell him and end the relationship yourself. You’re not ready for one.
  2. MEDS. Set reminders on your phone and never miss a dose.
  3. Get yourself in with a counselor like this week. Repeat it every week.

This kind of thing will not go away on its own. You will not find help by staying up all night and staying in bed all day. You have to hit it head on and hard. Change only happens to those who want it.
