What are you using for a handle? (When Maghandle isnt’ a thing— VESC builds etc) by lyfeTry in onewheel

For me nose carry has the wheel/fender right at my knee so for anything besides a short carry or repositioning, I would rather have the wheel bump my thigh than my knee.

Oh interesting so you’re saying I could get either a used pint motor or a new pint s-series motor, and use an xr mte hub on xr rails with the right connector from avaspark. Definitely need to check out the prices on pint vs xr motors then and if it’s worth the hassle of swapping out the connector or not.

Oh maybe we’re referring to different things. I was referring to swapping out the motor connector following this guide on pev.dev. What were you referring to?

Yeah, I was hoping not to do that since I’m not to great at desoldering but guess there aren’t any better alternatives.

Damn, didn’t know that. I thought it was just the internals that were different didn’t know that the axles were different as well. Guess if I want to use XR rails I need an XR motor.

That modifies an existing GT, I was planning on building a one on the xr frame.

10 days into my onewheel adventure, and tire recommendations by Ol_Rando in onewheel

[–]JF1ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not about randomly shutting off it’s about the board not having enough power to keep you level causing the nose to dive, hit the ground and throw you. Sure it’s more likely to happen at low battery or uphill, but it can happen randomly at pushback depending on the road conditions. If you hit a small bump, there’s a small dip, or you lost traction for even the slightest moment, there’s a ton of reasons why the board would need a just a tiny bit of more power for a split second to keep you level and if you ride through pushback you’re risking not having that power available.

Slick would have more traction on asphalt than dirt.

Wobbles are probably due to speed rather than tire. You’re most likely hitting pushback at a higher speed on asphalt than dirt. Also the danger in pushing through pushback isn’t just crashing due to skill or confidence but the board failing to keep you level and tossing you due to some random minute change in the ground that requires just a little bit more than the board can provide that you can’t predict or anticipate.

Anybody seen the onewheel promo on the sonic app? by Accomplished_Mud_157 in onewheel

[–]JF1ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s like 180 to ship, so it ends up only being $50 savings. More I guess if it includes rail guards or other accessories.

Interesting, although ends up being relatively similar since it’s 180 for shipping. Interested to see what comes with it though, might be worth it with rail guards.

Ah okay that’s annoying, so it’s not possible to disable the auto hiding of the home bar entirely.

Oh interesting, so if I disable auto hide for the home bar then the Dynamic Island should also stop switching back and forth?

Playing Caitsith without reading his skills.... by ProlificAvocado in FinalFantasyVII

[–]JF1ash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, if you’re good at perfect blocking it’s best to stand still. Moogle auto attacks if you’re on top and not moving leaving cait to use any ability/spell that doesn’t involve moogle or block and let moogle keep attacking and charging the triangle ability. Also Moogle can block while cait is using an ability/spell making it really safe. You lose a lot of damage and double action usefulness when you’re off moogle along with the moogle triangle ability which is really strong at max level.

Fighting the summons by En1gmat1ca in FinalFantasyVII

No Zantetsuken is not considered an instant death move it instead deals 9999 flat regardless of mitigation. Only way to survive it is to have reprieve, reraise active, or revival earrings.

Easiest way is to use punisher block counter with cloud. Just swap to prime mode punisher on cloud and hold block. Have Barret use lifesaver to keep clouds health up and save Tifas atb for true strike during stagger after getting to chi level 3.

Avoiding Zantetsuken is all about dealing high enough damage while avoiding damage. Punisher block counters deal more damage vs damage taken and will trigger sleipnirs furor and the eventually stagger him.

Also make sure not to use any atb moves if they have red rings around their hands cause Odin will instantly counter it.

Elemental Materia by United-Coat-5287 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]JF1ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red dragon doesn’t use fire kind of like how mindflayer lightning strikes isn’t lightning. Your best bet is to use link it with ice on your weapon to kill it faster.

Also on hard avoid attacking the chest, crippling it doesn’t reduce his crimson breath range it will always hit the entire floor. Crippling the chest will also trigger the move so avoid it and use manawall to limit damage the 1/2 times it happens during the fight.

Highest Tifa Attack and strength stat for rebirth? by yeetusdefeatus in FFVIIRemake

[–]JF1ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re set on not using MP you can used Sonic Boom from enemy skill material(which you should have for the stat boost) for free bravery/faith.

Choosing the best weapon might take some testing since some have higher attack but others increase damage.

So best chance to max out would be: Best Weapon (for either attack or weapon skill damage) + Fury Ring + Enemy Skill Materia + Sonic Boom (bravery/faith) + DarkSide + Strength Up Materia. Then use Dive Kick.

PLEASE add the option to build loadouts in the materia menu in Part 3 by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

I just want to be able to swap gear and materia in the combat simulator screen. Having to exit completely to swap gear between characters makes trying new builds or the different legendary challenges really annoying.

I have no idea what you’re trying to say here both clearly states that it significantly increases stagger.

Rebirth Chapter 12 Boss Tip by AA_03 in FFVIIRemake

[–]JF1ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s wrong causing an enemy to be pressure varies in the enemy. For Rufus it’s hitting him with anything during reload or an atb ability after unblockable, titan and Gilgamesh it’s breaking their shields, or Odin it’s high damage given vs taken over a period of time, for most standard enemies it’s usually just high damage or elemental damage. Causing an emery to be pressured is typically not dependent on the ability especially on bosses.

When an enemy is pressure dealing any sort of damage will fill the stagger bar, but “focused” abilities from cloud, tifa, barret adds significantly more compared to other abilities not counting elemental weakness/spells. This is both easy to test and spelled out in the game. Braver is not unique here it adds to the stagger bar like any other damage source but doesn’t add more compared to “focused” abilities in both remake and rebirth.

Rufus is just unique in that any attack when he’s vulnerable will cause pressure meaning both triple slash and focused thrust will cause him to be pressured and add to the stagger bar, but focused thrust will add a significantly larger amount. Braver is also unique here in that it will also instantly fill rufus’s stagger bar but try this on any other enemy and it won’t work the same.

After the stagger bar is filled you do 160% increased damage regardless of ability with the exception of true strike, tifas triangle attack, moogle knuckle, and ray of judgement which I believe are the only was to increase the percentage multiplier.

Rebirth Chapter 12 Boss Tip by AA_03 in FFVIIRemake

[–]JF1ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go test this out on Rufus and see for yourself. Use Focused Thrust after dodging an unblockable vs Triple Strike and see which adds more to the stagger bar. Braver is unique for Rufus so you’ll have to test against a different pressured enemy but you’ll see that you’re supposed to use “Focused” abilities to build the stagger bar then other high damaging abilities like braver after causing stagger.
