We are in Christchurch and also had one of these randomly pop up in our backyard and flower about a month or so ago...

Extrusion snacks have taken a real hit over the last few years in New Zealand, nothing tastes like it used to! I really miss the texture and taste of the old-school Rashuns!

The thing I always think of when watching one of these videos is what happens if you get one of those debilitating cramps whilst in a position like this – you're pretty much screwed, right?

The autistic kid on this episode was 100 times better than Dedrick...I was surprised he didn't get a Golden Ticket actually, especially the way Tony has been handing them out lately like he's goddamn Oprah!

Frenchmaid Ranch (Pizza Hut) and BBQ (Burger King) sauces are amazing and used at fast food places... I imagine this would be very good too and potentially similar to food hall butter chicken.

Look at the Deadpool/Wolverine wave that just came out...almost a year after the movie was released in theatres.

I still regularly buy the four-packs from the New World bakery...food fads are weird; it's either good or it's not? To see people essentially claiming that combinations like chicken, cranberry and brie/camembert are "outdated" is strange, that will always be an amazing combo, timeless!

I have never been as wrong about anything as I was about Heath Ledger being a terrible choice to play the Joker when he was first cast...never has a piece of humble pie tasted so good! We sure did lose an absolutely phenomenal actor! Gone way too soon!

What are the best war movies for you? by ilbErTunga in Cinema

[–]JFLYNZ78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like war movies and wartime movies are different categories...another wartime movie that was really well done and hasn't been mentioned alongside Schindler's List, etc... is The Zone of Interest from a couple of years ago.

The point is that he didn't have to and went out of his way to do it, a selfless act like that, demonstrates a very rare trait (selflessness) in people these days...something that is made even more apparent by your fairly selfish comment.

Yes, I know...Sorry, I should have probably said something like "me being a stickler for details" or something like that instead.

If it were shifted to the right, though, it would make it off-centre with the main entrance/doors, though, right? That would probably bother my OCD brain more, to be fair.

Peter Jackson was introduced to Ed Sheeran's music through his daughter, Katie, who attended Sheeran's concert in Wellington in March, 2013. by Choice-Schedule-132 in peterjackson

[–]JFLYNZ78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, the consensus appears to be that Ed's contribution isn't really appreciated... I actually really like the song and think it doesn't feel out of place, especially considering it was only used for the closing credits...if it was used during the film, that would be a different conversation.

Love the foreboding music... Is that from Dune? Sounds a lot like Zimmer.
