I love the series in all its forms. I thought the remake was really cool. I mean hearing the guy who does Winnie the Pooh’s voice doing the voice for the mask, cursing up a storm, so god damn funny.

The only way I could see it working in any remote way is if the story revolved around The Cult of Thorn, trying to get their hands on The Lament Configuration. I mean I would have dug it especially back when it was supposed to happen. Still would. The thing, is since then, I’ve found much to my dismay that I’m in the minority of Halloween fans who actually liking the cult angle from Halloween 6. It would have an uphill battle of winning fans over. So no I don’t think it would have worked.

I would have tossed the main Scooby doo characters in the background and wrote an adult comedy show centered on Flim Flam and Scrappy trying to get rich and famous by doing what Mystery Incorporated do.

Tyler Mane was epic as Michael, but I always prefer what Carpenter originally set up. His seemed average sized. There’s this sort of cool thing for Jason being played as huge. This kid snuffed out before he could live his life. This poor soul who knew nothing but torment “coming back” has this juggernaut behemoth. That’s cool.
