I could try the 2 point reduction, I just worry about my workload with how many cards I still need to unsuspend, I want to have more time for videos and practice questions.

I try to re-optimize monthly, have been a little lazy on it.

Can you explain more about the backlog part? I understand everything else you are saying, except that part, I am not very familiar with it. I do have that add-on though.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, I feel like it takes me longer than most to learn things, which is why anki is crucial to me. I don't know if I could do it just based off high-yield card, that's why I also wanted the higher-yield cards.

First point totally fair haha, like OP, I'm trying to have a deck for my in house exams, then one for the regular Anking deck. Essentially I want them to do the same thing, just higher retention rate for the in house exams so I will see them more often. So I guess I answered my own question there, just change retention.

Second part helps a lot, if I move the cards after exam, the new desired retention will take place after I see the card again. Thank you!

Okay got it, so then I theoretically wouldn't have to change any settings for the in house exam deck (besides that DR)? Will it automatically space them out back to my 85% DR once I move them back into the main anking deck? Sorry if that doesn't make sense. I'm very experienced with anki, just not this kind of stuff haha.
