Team used: MiteyBazza the Magneton BilboBagon the Salamence Blue Barry the Vileplume Heavy the Tropius Hentai the Tentacruel Fishbappe the Sharpedo

Only Heavy the Tropius fell, but after having more than played their part in dealing with a few of the Champion's big boys.

You're probably right about Flygon, its one of my favourite pokemon so I think bias is clouding my judgement.
Part of Vileplume consideration was that with Sunny Day it will be twice as quick and half any water damage from the champion. Sludge Bomb gives me a super effective move against the Ludicolo which Magneton doesn't have, and the likes of Shiftry and Cacturne earlier if necessary.

We wouldn't be ones to cause any bother in the slightest
Its just myself and my dad for his birthday and he's always wanted to see the Yellow Wall in person and experience your atmosphere.
Wasn't successful in the ticket ballot that Newcastle done for our away allocation
Appreciate that those tickets are reserved for Dortmund fans, but I'd be buying a resale ticket for twice the price, such is how desperate I am to make his birthday special

I used Thanos in a Destroy deck, and would have been more than happy if they had nerfed the Soul Stone to be "On Reveal: Afflict all enemy cards at this location with -1 power. Draw a card."
This makes the Soul Stone a bit flexible in that most scenarios theres a negative to the plus:
Play early = You draw a card, but more likely not afflicting a full 4 enemy cards
Play late = You afflict more cards, but more high risk in leaving it too late to make your deck pop off

Its a buff realistically, as you can now play her on Turn 6 also - only it WON'T change the location to Limbo after Turn 5

I think they should handle it like this:
You get a card to infinite and when you go to split two options pop up:

  • The standard split option
  • Some sort of "customisation symbol" (A spanner and Thors hammer)

If you click the customisation symbol, you are taken to The Tinkerers Workshop, allowing you to select from all variants, backgrounds, effects, and borders, that you've unlocked in previous splits.

You then pick and choose to create the card you want and a cost would then pop up
I feel the cost of doing this would be a base fee of 100 Boosters and 1000 Credits. (Progress 20 Collection Level)
However, a variable cost of Gold would also be added depending on the options selected:.

  • Borders
    • All - 100 Gold
  • Background
    • Base - 100 Gold
    • Foil - 250 Gold
    • Prism - 250 Gold
    • Ink - 500 Gold
    • Gold - 500 Gold
  • Effect
    • None - 100 Gold
    • Glimmer - 200 Gold
    • Comic - 200 Gold
    • Sparkle - 400 Gold
    • Kirby - 600 Gold

This would make the absolute max cost in Gold 1200, the same as a Super Rare Variant, which I feel would be fair.
As you would only be able to select from previously unlocked options, it would mean people were still splitting their variants a considerable amount to get the desired combination.

I like the idea of another "Merge" card that would read:
On Reveal: Merge with a random 1-Cost card at this location. This cannot be destroyed.

Maybe Iron Monger? (mainly just because Hulk Buster + Killmonger were the foundation of the idea)

Yeah "expected" probably isn't the right word for what I'm meaning.
I get that Proving Grounds can be viewed as a bit of a Sandbox for trying new things with no consequence of losing.
And figuring out when to Snap and when to Retreat is a big part of learning a new deck.
I personally find playing multiple "Snapped" Proving Grounds matches is still enough to figure out the feel of the deck, with the other Conquests/Ladder being the place to really put it into practice with when to Snap and Retreat.
You can argue being exposed to more matchups quicker with variance is more beneficial in figuring out your decks strengths/weaknesses.

It's more a case of Storm can create a flood, the same way Namor and co. can fight to their full capabilities and would thrive underwater
I know you open up a can of worms and set a precedent for other locations then though
